Virtualization Platform Engineer – Citrix

📋 Description

• • Design, implement, and deploy virtualization platforms to align with business requirements and identify opportunities for performance improvements and issue resolution.
• • Develop and enforce technical standards for virtualization environments, evaluating and recommending vendor products and emerging technologies.
• • Deploy, configure, and support Citrix host pools, session hosts, application groups, and workspaces to ensure stable and scalable user environments.
• • Perform day-to-day administration of the Citrix platform, including scaling operations, host maintenance, and service health monitoring.
• • Create and maintain gold images using established image pipelines to standardize endpoint configurations across the organization.
• • Support FSLogix profile containers by configuring, troubleshooting performance issues, and resolving storage access problems.
• • Enhance the repeatability, reliability, and documentation of deployment and operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve system integrity.
• • Monitor Citrix platform health, performance, and capacity using dashboards and AWS monitoring tools to proactively address degradation or capacity constraints.
• • Collaborate closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams including networking, security, endpoint management, and service desk to ensure seamless platform integration and support.
• • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned to support evolving business and technical needs.
• • Apply hands-on expertise with Citrix, Citrix SaaS, and AWS environments to deliver secure, high-performance virtual desktop and application delivery solutions.
• • Utilize automation tools such as PowerShell and Terraform to streamline configuration management, provisioning, and operational workflows.
• • Troubleshoot complex operational issues across Windows desktop/server environments and virtualization platforms with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution.
• • Ensure compliance with security best practices by applying knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, and MFA concepts in platform configurations and access controls.
