- • Design the visual language, design system, and UI components for A1’s AI-powered product across web and mobile platforms.
- • Create visual patterns that help users parse AI-generated content, distinguish system states, and interpret confidence and reliability signals in dynamic interfaces.
- • Design for high information density and clear hierarchy in interfaces where AI output varies in length, format, tone, and reliability.
- • Collaborate with product and UX designers to translate interaction flows into polished, accessible, and visually coherent designs.
- • Build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency, clarity, and rapid implementation across the product.
- • Define visual standards for error states, empty states, loading states, task states, and AI-generated output to enhance user understanding and trust.
- • Produce precise visual assets and design specifications that engineers can implement accurately without ambiguity.
- • Ensure AI-heavy interfaces remain clear, structured, and intuitive without overwhelming users with uncertainty or complexity.
- • Apply accessibility standards to guarantee legibility, contrast, and usability for diverse user needs.
- • Work under ambiguity and evolving product requirements, adapting visual solutions as AI behavior and user feedback evolve.
- • Contribute to a high-talent-density team that moves rapidly, values independent judgment, and prioritizes shipping high-quality, magical user experiences.
- • Participate in the design interview process by submitting a portfolio that demonstrates experience with web or mobile products and proficiency in designing for AI-driven workflows.

- • Experience as a visual or UI designer with a portfolio across web or mobile products.
- • Strong skills in typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- • Proficiency in Figma and experience building or contributing to design systems.
- • Ability to design for dynamic content where AI output varies in length, format, tone, and reliability.
- • Understanding of accessibility standards and how to design for legibility and contrast.
- • Awareness of how visual cues communicate AI system behavior, trust, and confidence.
