• • We are actively seeking a visionary and experienced Vice President of Engineering to spearhead our product engineering organization. This pivotal role is responsible for architecting and delivering best-in-class digital experiences tailored for our diverse user base, including hospital administrators, dedicated physicians, and essential clinical operations teams. The scope of this leadership position encompasses overseeing multiple engineering teams dedicated to building and scaling a comprehensive suite of solutions. These include sophisticated hospital-facing applications, intuitive mobile platforms, advanced physician care coordination tools, and robust clinical operations systems designed to streamline healthcare delivery.
• • The VP of Engineering will be instrumental in shaping the technical vision, defining the organizational strategy, and cultivating a thriving engineering culture within a rapidly expanding team. This leader must possess a unique ability to harmonize the imperative for speed and innovation with the non-negotiable requirements of security, scalability, and unwavering reliability. • • **Engineering Leadership & Strategy:**
• • Define, articulate, and drive the overarching engineering vision, strategic roadmap, and operational execution, ensuring tight alignment with Sevaro's broader product objectives and organizational goals.
• • Provide comprehensive oversight and strategic direction for engineering efforts spanning critical domains such as provider experience platforms, hospital system integrations, clinical quality improvement initiatives, sophisticated scheduling systems, licensing and credentialing management, and internal operational tools.
• • Spearhead the adoption and implementation of advanced DevOps methodologies, robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to enable rapid, reliable, and repeatable software releases.
• • Establish and enforce rigorous engineering standards, best practices, and architectural principles designed to guarantee the scalability, security, and long-term maintainability of our technology stack.
• • Actively champion and integrate the use of AI-driven development tools and platforms (e.g., intelligent code assistants, automated testing frameworks, AI-enhanced CI/CD processes) to accelerate development cycles and elevate software quality.
• • **Product Delivery & Ownership:**
• • Assume end-to-end ownership and accountability for the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions across our web, mobile, and internal tooling ecosystems.
• • Cultivate and maintain exceptionally close, collaborative relationships with Product Management, Data & AI, and Clinical teams to meticulously define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure the timely shipment of impactful, user-centric solutions.
• • Oversee and manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial prototyping and iterative development through rigorous testing, successful release, and ongoing post-launch maintenance and support.
• • Lead the strategic development and enhancement of our core video communication solutions, including but not limited to, advanced video carts for remote patient consultations, intuitive mobile applications featuring real-time calling capabilities, and integrated chat functionalities.
• • Ensure the secure and seamless implementation of federated single sign-on (SSO) applications, providing secure and frictionless access across our diverse range of platforms for authorized users.
• • Proactively leverage AI-powered tools and techniques to accelerate key development activities such as rapid prototyping, efficient debugging, comprehensive testing, and streamlined deployment processes.
• • **Team Building & Management:**
• • Strategically build, mentor, and scale a high-performing, geographically distributed engineering organization, encompassing both U.S.-based talent and offshore resources.
• • Define clear and achievable career development pathways for all engineering team members, fostering a culture deeply rooted in ownership, continuous improvement, and unwavering accountability.
• • Collaborate closely with Human Resources and the recruiting team to attract, hire, and retain top-tier engineering talent that strongly aligns with Sevaro's mission and values.
• • Provide consistent, high-quality coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to engineering managers, tech leads, and individual contributors.
• • **Hands-On Contribution & Technical Guidance:**
• • Remain actively engaged with the codebase, participate in architectural reviews, and provide critical insights on key technical tradeoffs to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
• • Encourage and foster an environment of experimentation with emerging technologies, innovative frameworks, and cutting-edge AI-powered engineering workflows.
• • Drive the adoption and consistent application of best-in-class practices in areas such as automated testing, system observability, security protocols, and performance optimization.
• • Ensure optimal developer productivity by championing modern development workflows, robust automation strategies, and efficient infrastructure management.
• • **Stakeholder Collaboration & Representation:**
• • Represent the engineering function effectively at the executive leadership level, ensuring clear alignment of priorities and resources across all company departments.
• • Forge strong partnerships with leadership from Product and Data & AI to align strategic initiatives, foundational technology decisions, and innovation efforts.
• • Communicate engineering priorities, challenges, progress, and successes clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
