• • As the Vice President of Engineering at Inception Point AI, you will be at the vanguard of innovation, shaping the technical destiny of a pioneering media-tech company. You will be instrumental in building scalable, high-quality content across diverse platforms, including YouTube, social media, and podcasts, operating at the exciting intersection of creativity, automation, and entertainment.
• • Reporting directly to the CEO, this role transcends traditional management. You are a hands-on leader, eager to remain deeply involved with code while simultaneously setting the technical direction for the entire organization. You will collaborate closely with Product leadership and our Chief AI Officer to define and execute the company's technical strategy, ensuring our intellectual property can scale exponentially.
• • Your primary mission will be to own and build the next-generation tech stack that underpins our ambitious content initiatives. This involves a critical transition from experimental automations to a robust, scalable production system capable of handling millions of transactions daily. You will be the driving force behind creating the technological infrastructure that enables rapid idea iteration and high-volume content delivery.
• • **Technical Leadership & Strategy:** You will partner intimately with product leadership to translate the product roadmap into actionable technical plans. This includes architecting the long-term technical vision for the company, ensuring that our technology stack is not only capable of meeting current demands but is also future-proofed for sustained growth and innovation in the rapidly evolving AI and media landscape.
• • **Hands-on Development:** This role demands a hybrid approach. You will actively contribute to the codebase, leveraging your technical prowess to solve complex problems and set coding standards. Simultaneously, you will guide and mentor the engineering organization, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
• • **System Scalability & Performance:** A core responsibility is building and optimizing the technology that facilitates a high volume of content production. This includes developing systems that can efficiently manage diverse monetization streams, such as licensing and subscription services, ensuring the business can scale effectively and sustainably.
• • **AI Orchestration & Integration:** You will manage and evolve our sophisticated AI-assisted code development processes and progressive agentic development orchestration. This involves staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI development tools and methodologies, and integrating them to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and overall output.
• • **Team Building & Culture Development:** You will be responsible for establishing and refining core engineering processes, including agile methodologies like sprints, rigorous code reviews, and streamlined deployment pipelines. As the team grows, you will recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 3-10 talented engineers, cultivating a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative engineering culture.
• • **Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:** Acting as a vital bridge between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Operations), you will foster trust and alignment through clear, concise communication and a consistent track record of reliable delivery. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms will be crucial for cross-departmental synergy.
• • **Operational Excellence & Risk Management:** You will champion operational excellence by systematically identifying and addressing technical debt. This involves making disciplined, strategic trade-offs between speed of delivery and long-term structural soundness, ensuring the sustainability of our engineering velocity and the robustness of our systems. You will also possess a deep understanding of systemic risk within automation and implement appropriate safeguards, monitoring, and fail-safes.
• • **Remote Team Leadership & Organizational Alignment:** In our remote-first environment, you will cultivate a strong, accountable engineering culture characterized by clarity, trust, and a sense of ownership. You will foster tight, collaborative relationships within the engineering team and across all functional departments, ensuring seamless alignment and collective progress towards company goals.

• • **Success Metrics:** Success in this role means becoming an indispensable member of the leadership team, recognized for building groundbreaking technology at the frontier of AI. Within 90 days, you will have made critical architectural decisions, materially contributed to shipped product, established a predictable delivery rhythm, and initiated team expansion.
