  • • As the VP of Sales at Rain Technologies, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the global sales strategy for a company at the forefront of next-generation payment infrastructure. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving significant new revenue across all market segments and geographic regions, setting the commercial direction, and ensuring rigorous execution against ambitious company targets.
  • • You will be tasked with overseeing comprehensive sales planning, ensuring high accuracy in forecasting, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing robust performance management systems across the entire sales organization. This includes making critical decisions about where to invest resources, how to structure sales coverage models, and defining the optimal pathways for opportunities from initial engagement through to successful closure and subsequent expansion.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with executive leadership to ensure that revenue plans are strategically aligned with product readiness, evolving regulatory landscapes, and dynamic market demands. Your insights will be crucial in grounding our commercial ambitions in realistic and achievable operational frameworks.
  • • You will be expected to elevate the overall quality and consistency of sales execution, particularly within complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. This involves strengthening our capabilities in navigating intricate negotiations, structuring enduring commercial relationships, and strategically expanding our footprint within key existing accounts.
  • • This is a global leadership position with direct accountability for achieving substantial revenue outcomes. It requires a leader who is equally comfortable operating at a high strategic level and diving into the operational details necessary to succeed in complex infrastructure sales environments.
  • • You will play a critical role in taking a successful sales team to the next level by defining and executing a clear 12-24 month vision that facilitates further global expansion and continuously improves core business metrics. This involves identifying opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to capitalize on them.
  • • A significant part of your mandate will be to raise the performance ceiling of the sales organization. This will be achieved by improving win rates on deals, shortening the duration of sales cycles, and increasing the average deal size for new and expansion business.
  • • You will be responsible for expanding and deepening executive-level relationships with key players across the fintech, payments platform, and broader financial institution sectors. Building and nurturing these strategic partnerships will be paramount.
  • • Enhancing the consistency with which complex, multi-stakeholder deals are navigated and successfully closed will be a key performance indicator. This requires developing and implementing standardized yet adaptable processes.
  • • You will strengthen our commercial leverage in negotiations, refine pricing strategies to optimize value capture, and develop sophisticated long-term partnership structures that benefit both Rain and our clients.
  • • Improving the overall talent density across the sales team through strategic hiring, effective coaching, and rigorous performance management will be a continuous focus. Building a world-class sales team is essential for sustained success.
  • • You will create greater visibility and instill confidence in our revenue trajectory among the executive team and the board of directors through accurate forecasting and transparent reporting.
  • • Establishing organizational clarity around targets, coverage models, and performance expectations is crucial. This must be done while ensuring tight, seamless coordination with Product, Marketing, RevOps, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams.
  • • You will shape the renewal and expansion motion to drive stronger customer lifetime value (LTV) beyond the initial contract. This includes influencing how success metrics, pricing structures, and executive relationships are managed post-close to foster long-term partnerships.
  • • Finally, you will help position Rain as the indispensable, long-term infrastructure partner within our most strategic accounts, solidifying our market leadership and driving sustained growth.
