  • • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of key intermediary relationship teams, including Consultant Relations, TPA (Third-Party Administrator), Broker Dealer, Advisor Concierge Support, and Intermediary Reporting. The primary objective is to cultivate and expand relationships, thereby enhancing Voya’s brand recognition for its retirement solutions and solidifying its position as a premier provider in the Retirement Services sector.
  • • Develop and execute strategic business plans focused on identifying and engaging with key retirement distribution partners. This involves negotiating terms and driving initiatives aimed at increasing opportunity volumes, improving advance rates, and ultimately boosting sales success across all intermediary channels, encompassing advisors, consultants, TPAs, and broker dealers.
  • • Establish and maintain robust executive-level reporting mechanisms to track and communicate key performance indicators such as opportunity pipelines, advance rates, and win rates across all intermediary segments. This data will be crucial for strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • • Drive thought leadership initiatives and contribute to product development by assessing market metrics and identifying trends. Partner closely with sales teams to refine and implement sales strategies that propel new business growth within Voya’s Retirement business division.
  • • Act as an Executive Sponsor for critical existing client relationships when required, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and strategic oversight.
  • • Collaborate extensively with relationship management staff to design and implement strategic initiatives focused on client retention. This includes ensuring seamless communication and alignment with intermediary partners to foster enduring relationships and elevate overall client satisfaction.
  • • Oversee the process for consultant questionnaires, focusing on driving quality improvements, informing product enhancements, and ensuring successful attainment of final placements that support related sales activities.
  • • Enhance and strengthen Voya’s overall standing and influence within the consultant and intermediary community. The goal is to drive new business opportunities and significantly increase our market share with targeted intermediary partners in our core retirement markets.
  • • Work in close partnership with Sales and Service business leaders to embed growth strategies into all interactions and meetings with key distributors, ensuring a unified approach to market engagement.
  • • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to create compelling and high-quality presentations tailored for key consultants, effectively communicating Voya’s value proposition.
  • • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and support for intermediary relations strategies.
  • • Lead and coordinate all efforts related to site visits from key distributors, as well as actively participate in conferences hosted by these critical partners, representing Voya and fostering deeper connections.
  • • Manage Voya’s industry conference strategy, including budget allocation and execution, with key organizations such as NAGDCA, ASHHRA, CUPA, NAPA, and other relevant industry firms. This includes managing annual sponsorship opportunities with key intermediary partners and collaborating with Marketing and other business units to ensure effective execution and maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
  • • Drive strategic distribution initiatives for both Corporate Markets and Tax-Exempt markets, ensuring alignment with the company's overall growth objectives.
  • • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and potential threats within the retirement services sector.
  • • Develop and implement performance metrics for the intermediary relations teams, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the teams managed, encouraging proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking.
  • • Represent Voya at industry events and forums, building Voya’s reputation and expanding its network.
  • • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in all intermediary interactions and agreements.
