đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Twilio, a global leader in communications, as a Web UX Designer specializing in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) component creation, design, and usability. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how businesses interact with their customers by crafting innovative and user-centric web experiences.
  • • As a key member of the Web Experience team, you will be instrumental in designing composable, reusable component patterns and author-friendly experiences. Your work will empower our UI, marketing, and content teams to build web pages efficiently and accurately, ensuring a seamless and scalable digital presence.
  • • You will define interaction design and create detailed specifications for AEM components, focusing on optimizing the authoring experience and governance. This includes defining use cases, content models, composability rules, and constraints to ensure flexibility and maintainability.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to creating experiment-ready variants for A/B and multivariate testing, directly contributing to our Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) initiatives. While you won't implement the experiments, your designs will be crucial for testing and improving user engagement and conversion rates.
  • • Serve as the primary UX point of contact (POC) for stakeholders, adeptly gathering requirements and communicating complex design concepts clearly and persuasively. You will lead production projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • • Design and document AEM components comprehensively, from initial concept to final specification. This involves defining user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed interaction specifications, including all necessary states, error handling, keyboard navigation, focus management, and responsiveness.
  • • Create robust specification packages that include annotated designs, redlines, acceptance criteria, and detailed accessibility requirements, alongside performance considerations to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • • Champion composability and scalability in your designs. You will establish component variants, configurations, and policies to minimize bespoke development efforts and ensure compatibility with existing templates, fragments, and localization workflows, promoting a consistent and efficient design system.
  • • Actively optimize the AEM authoring experience by conducting usability checks with content authors. You will iterate on dialog designs, refine inline help content, and contribute to the creation of comprehensive authoring guides, playbooks, and component documentation, making the content management process more intuitive.
  • • Design A/B and multivariate test variants based on data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with analysts to review experiment results. You will use these insights to iterate on designs and continuously improve conversion rates as part of our ongoing CRO strategy.
  • • Partner closely with the Web Engineering team to translate your detailed specifications into functional AEM Core Component extensions. You will also collaborate with Brand/UI and Content teams to ensure design fidelity, maintain brand consistency, and ensure the scalability of implemented solutions.
  • • Understand and apply principles of systems thinking to create modular and interconnected components that form a cohesive and adaptable web experience. This includes defining component states, variants, and responsive behaviors to cater to diverse user needs and devices.
  • • Contribute to the evolution of Twilio's design system by documenting patterns, best practices, and reusable components, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all web properties.
  • • Maintain a strong understanding of SaaS B2B marketing funnels and conversion principles, applying this knowledge to design web experiences that effectively guide users through the customer journey and drive desired actions.
  • • Embrace Twilio's remote-first culture, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones and locations, fostering a connected and inclusive work environment.
  • • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and design trends, particularly within the AEM ecosystem, to ensure Twilio's web presence remains cutting-edge and user-friendly.
  • • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards, creating inclusive experiences for all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies.
  • • Translate business requirements into intuitive and effective user interface designs, balancing user needs with technical constraints and business goals.
  • • Participate in design reviews and critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback to elevate the quality of design work across the team.
  • • Contribute to the strategic vision for Twilio's web presence, identifying opportunities for UX improvements and innovation.
  • • Develop a deep understanding of Twilio's products and services to inform UX design decisions and ensure alignment with the company's overall mission and values.
  • • Drive user-centered design processes, advocating for the end-user throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • • Collaborate with product managers to define user stories and requirements, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and deliverables.
  • • Utilize data and analytics to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of UX solutions.
  • • Proactively identify and address potential UX issues before they impact users or development timelines.
  • • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the Web Experience team, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
