We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wi-Fi Bluetooth Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for the development and enhancement of our wireless communication technologies, ensuring robust performance, stability, and seamless integration of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionalities in our products.
• As a Wi-Fi Bluetooth Firmware Engineer, you will be instrumental in the entire firmware development lifecycle, from initial design and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will tackle complex technical challenges, working with state-of-the-art hardware and software to deliver exceptional wireless experiences. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of our products, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards and exceed customer expectations.
• Your primary responsibilities will involve deep diving into the intricacies of Wi-Fi protocols, performance optimization, and stability analysis. You will be the go-to person for investigating and resolving defects reported by our customers, QA teams, and internal development groups. This requires a systematic approach to problem-solving, the ability to dissect complex issues, and a thorough understanding of the underlying firmware and hardware interactions.
• Key aspects of this role include:
• **Defect Analysis and Resolution:** Meticulously investigate, analyze, and resolve defects reported by customers, QA, and internal development teams. This includes issues related to Wi-Fi protocols, performance bottlenecks, and stability concerns. You will be expected to break down complex problems into manageable components, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• **Firmware Development and Implementation:** Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient firmware for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. This involves writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in embedded systems development.
• **Protocol Stack Expertise:** Gain a deep understanding and contribute to the development and optimization of Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth (Classic, BLE) protocol stacks. You will work on features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements within these critical components.
• **System Integration and Testing:** Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth firmware with the overall system. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation, to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• **Performance Optimization:** Identify and address performance limitations in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionalities. This may involve optimizing power consumption, improving data throughput, reducing latency, and enhancing signal strength and range.
• **Driver Development:** Develop and maintain low-level drivers for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chipsets, ensuring efficient communication between the hardware and the firmware.
• **Interoperability Testing:** Conduct rigorous interoperability testing with a wide range of devices and access points to ensure our products function flawlessly in diverse environments.
• **Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:** Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for firmware designs, implementation details, and testing procedures. Share your knowledge and expertise with team members through code reviews, technical presentations, and mentorship.
• **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive product development forward.
• **Emerging Technologies:** Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, including new standards and features, and evaluate their potential application in future Qodeworld products.
• **Debugging and Troubleshooting:** Utilize advanced debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex firmware issues in both development and production environments.
• **Code Reviews:** Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• **Root Cause Analysis:** Employ systematic root cause analysis methodologies to understand the fundamental reasons behind recurring issues and implement preventative measures.
• **Embedded Systems Expertise:** Apply your strong understanding of embedded systems principles, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and microcontroller architectures to firmware development.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development, specifically with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Bluetooth (Classic, BLE) protocols and standards.
• Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) and microcontroller architectures.
• Familiarity with wireless debugging tools and techniques (e.g., Wireshark, logic analyzers).
