Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the full life-cycle of workers’ compensation claims for Travel + Leisure Co., the world’s leading vacation ownership and travel membership company. From the moment a workplace incident is reported, you will drive the investigation, documentation, reserve-setting, negotiation, and resolution of each file—delivering measurable cost savings and protecting our associates and guests.
  • • Serve as the analytical engine behind our risk management program. Using our Risk Management Information System (RMIS), you will compile, cleanse, and mine claims and loss data to uncover trends, quantify exposures, and recommend actionable strategies that reduce frequency and severity across 270+ resorts and corporate locations.
  • • Partner daily with HR Business Partners, Operations leaders, Loss Prevention, third-party administrators (TPAs), defense counsel, and actuarial teams. Your collaborative approach will ensure that every stakeholder has real-time visibility into claim status, litigation exposure, and settlement opportunities.
  • • Lead quarterly claim-review forums and weekly telephonic roundtables. You will present concise, data-driven summaries that highlight reserve adequacy, settlement authority, litigation strategy, and return-to-work outcomes—translating complex claims metrics into clear business impact for senior executives.
  • • Manage reserve adjustments and settlement proposals end-to-end. You will prepare SOX-compliant documentation, detailed cost-benefit analyses, and executive briefings that secure timely approvals and close files faster—directly improving our combined ratio and freeing capital for growth initiatives.
  • • Oversee monopolistic state filings (e.g., Ohio, Washington, North Dakota, Wyoming) and monitor related claims for compliance with statutory timelines and benefit structures. Your vigilance will prevent fines, penalties, and reputational risk.
  • • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual claims dashboards for corporate management and business-unit leaders. Your reports will spotlight emerging loss drivers, litigation hot spots, and reserve development patterns—enabling proactive underwriting, safety interventions, and strategic budgeting.
  • • Support the annual workers’ compensation insurance renewal process by gathering loss runs, exposure data, and actuarial exhibits. Your clean, credible data will underpin negotiations with carriers and brokers, ensuring optimal coverage terms and pricing.
  • • Conduct periodic TPA performance audits, scorecard reviews, and SLA assessments. You will recommend process improvements, technology enhancements, and staffing adjustments that elevate service quality and reduce administrative leakage.
  • • Handle Certificates of Insurance requests from internal partners and external vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual risk-transfer requirements and protecting the company from uninsured exposures.
  • • Contribute to enterprise-wide risk management initiatives such as policy document retention, enterprise-wide RMIS training, and ad-hoc projects (e.g., large-loss reviews, regulatory surveys, or M&A due diligence).
  • • Embrace a hybrid work model: collaborate in our Orlando Corporate Headquarters on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to foster high-touch engagement; work remotely on Thursday and Friday to drive deep-focus analytics and reporting.
  • • Travel up to 20% to attend mediations, settlement conferences, large-loss inspections, and industry conferences—bringing back best practices that continuously sharpen our program.
  • • Champion our culture of hospitality, inclusion, and innovation. Every action you take will reinforce our mission to put the world on vacation while safeguarding the people who make those vacations unforgettable.
