  • • Join Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., a globally recognized leader in the insurance and claims management industry, and become an integral part of a team dedicated to supporting individuals through life's unexpected challenges. As a Workers' Compensation Hearing Representative, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for our client employers at critical hearings, ensuring their interests are effectively represented before the Industrial Commission and the Department of Job and Family Services.
  • • This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in workers' compensation to navigate complex administrative processes and contribute to positive outcomes for both clients and claimants. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of attending various levels of hearings, meticulously preparing documentation, and presenting compelling arguments on behalf of employers, with the exception of purely legal matters.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a deep dive into case files, whether accessed online or via CD, to thoroughly understand the nuances of each hearing. You will be tasked with creating detailed follow-up hearing letters, accurately documenting hearing results within our proprietary TEAM system, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is prepared and organized to effectively represent the employer's position.
  • • The role demands a proactive approach to reviewing state files, identifying key information, and anticipating potential issues. You will be expected to act as a knowledgeable representative, capable of articulating the employer's perspective with clarity and confidence.
  • • Beyond the core hearing responsibilities, you will contribute to the broader success of Sedgwick by performing other assigned duties that support our organizational goals. This includes actively participating in and supporting the company's quality programs, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • • Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will be expected to travel as required to attend hearings and meet with stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive coverage and representation across designated regions.
  • • We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering exceptional work. If you are a self-starter with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of workers' compensation procedures, and a passion for advocacy, this role offers a rewarding path for career growth.
  • • Sedgwick is renowned for its caring culture, commitment to work-life balance, and opportunities for professional development. Recognized by Newsweek as one of America's Greatest Workplaces and certified as a Great Place to Work®, we foster an environment where your contributions are valued and your career can flourish without limits.
  • • This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact by ensuring fair and efficient resolution of workers' compensation claims, contributing to the financial stability and operational integrity of our client employers.
  • • You will be an essential link in the claims management process, working closely with internal teams and external parties to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, enabling them to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • • A strong understanding of PC operations, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, is essential for managing documentation and system entries.
  • • The ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a high level of organization is crucial for success in this dynamic role.
  • • We encourage individuals who may not meet every single qualification to apply, as Sedgwick is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and values the unique combination of skills and experiences each candidate brings.
