Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Workforce Operations Associate at Camber Group LLC, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational backbone of the company’s contingent workforce, directly enabling clinicians to focus on patient care by removing administrative friction in billing and payment processes. Your work ensures that the right talent is hired, managed, and supported efficiently, which is essential to Camber’s mission of improving healthcare accessibility and quality through technology.
- • You will partner closely with Billing and Payment Posting leadership to anticipate workforce needs, resolve operational blockers, and maintain seamless contractor performance — acting as the first line of defense for day-to-day challenges that could disrupt care delivery or revenue cycle integrity.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include owning the full contingent workforce hiring lifecycle: sourcing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, managing candidate communications, and facilitating onboarding in close collaboration with Billing team leads to ensure timely and compliant talent acquisition.
- • You will actively monitor contractor productivity, identify performance gaps, and engage directly with contingent workers to provide coaching and support that drives improvement, ensuring alignment with Camber’s operational standards and service-level expectations.
- • Serving as the primary point of contact for internal teams, you will manage contractor and workflow escalations via Slack and other channels, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution, and proactive problem-solving to maintain cross-functional harmony.
- • You will foster positive sentiment and effective collaboration across teams by streamlining processes, anticipating needs, and enabling smooth handoffs — contributing to a culture of operational excellence and psychological safety in a fast-moving startup environment.
- • Camber’s culture is rooted in mission-driven impact and human-centered values: you’ll join a team that deeply cares about improving behavioral health access, values humor as a coping mechanism in a broken system, and prioritizes psychological safety, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare operations, workforce management, and startup-scale process design — gaining transferable skills in stakeholder management, performance analytics, and HR-adjacent functions that position you for growth into senior operations, program management, or people operations roles within Camber or the broader healthtech sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–2 years of startup experience with demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
- • 1–2 years of experience working with contingent workforce, BPOs, or staffing agencies, including familiarity with hiring, onboarding, and managing non-employee talent.
- • Proven ability to manage performance across processes and people, including tracking productivity metrics, identifying gaps, and implementing improvement plans.
- • Strong organizational skills with capacity to juggle multiple concurrent processes, stakeholders, and priorities without dropping details.
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort navigating live interactions (e.g., interviews, conflict resolution, stakeholder updates) and asynchronous channels (e.g., Slack, email).
- • Initiative-taking mindset: ability to own outcomes, identify problems independently, and drive projects forward without constant direction.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans with nationwide coverage, including 24/7 virtual urgent care access.
- • Mental Health Support: Weekly therapy reimbursement up to $100 to support personalized mental well-being.
- • Paid Parental Leave: Up to 12 weeks of fully paid time off for new parents (birth, adoption, or foster care).
- • Financial Wellness: 401(k) (traditional & Roth), HSA & FSA options, and monthly commuter benefits for NYC-based employees.
- • Generous Time Off: 18 PTO days per year (with rollover), plus company holidays, monthly team events, off-sites, and daily in-office lunches.
- • Fitness Stipend: $100/month to use on any fitness-related activity of your choice.
- • Hybrid Flexibility: In-office expectation of 3–5 days/week in NYC with remote-friendly Fridays and flexibility for life events.
