- • Join Bettermile GmbH as a Working Student Data Scientist and become an integral part of our mission to revolutionize last-mile logistics. In this dynamic role, you will contribute directly to the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge, AI-powered SaaS product, which is transforming the delivery experience for businesses and consumers alike. You will be immersed in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your analytical skills and passion for data will be put to the test, allowing you to make a tangible impact from day one.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve the maintenance and continuous development of our existing dashboards and reports. This means ensuring that our stakeholders have access to accurate, up-to-date information that drives strategic decision-making. You will be instrumental in refining these tools, making them more insightful and user-friendly, and potentially developing new reporting mechanisms to address evolving business needs.
- • A crucial aspect of your role will be the monitoring and evaluation of the performance of our Machine Learning (ML) models. As our product is heavily reliant on AI, understanding how our models are performing in real-world scenarios is paramount. You will analyze model outputs, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with senior data scientists to implement optimizations, ensuring our AI capabilities remain at the forefront of the industry.
- • You will conduct in-depth exploratory data analyses, delving into critical areas such as user behavior patterns, the impact of new features on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other complex datasets. The insights you uncover will be vital for guiding product development and business strategy. A key part of this responsibility is translating these complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that can be readily understood and implemented by various teams within the company.
- • Contribute significantly to the development and optimization of our data pipelines. This involves ensuring the efficient and reliable flow of data from various sources into our analytical systems. You will work on streamlining processes, improving data quality, and potentially implementing new data ingestion techniques to support our growing data needs and the scalability of our platform.
- • Provide essential support to the broader data team in building and scaling our data platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the architecture and infrastructure that underpins our data-driven operations. You will assist in various tasks related to platform maintenance, enhancement, and expansion, learning valuable skills in data engineering and platform management.
- • This role offers an exceptional learning environment. You will work alongside experienced data scientists and engineers who are passionate about their craft and dedicated to mentoring. You'll have the opportunity to learn about advanced analytical techniques, ML operations, data warehousing, and cloud technologies within a practical, real-world context.
- • Bettermile fosters a culture of autonomy and encourages taking on responsibility early. While you will be supported by your team, you will be empowered to drive your own projects and contribute your unique perspective. This hands-on experience is invaluable for professional growth and building a strong foundation in data science.
- • You will be part of a diverse and inclusive international team, working in a hybrid model that balances focused individual work with collaborative team days. Our modern office in the heart of Berlin provides a stimulating environment, and we also offer the flexibility of remote work for up to 12 weeks a year, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- • Embrace the opportunity to shape a fast-growing industry and contribute to a product that is making a real difference. Your work will directly influence our product's success and our company's trajectory. This is more than just a working student position; it's a chance to grow, learn, and lead within a supportive and forward-thinking organization.
