📋 Description

  • Perform field service operations for Agilent’s chemical analysis instruments, including ICP-MS and ICP-OES, at customer sites across Osaka and Fukuoka.
  • Install, commission, and provide operational training for Agilent instruments to ensure proper customer implementation and acceptance.
  • Conduct validation procedures, routine inspections, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repairs on analytical equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Deliver preventive maintenance services and advise customers on configuration best practices that impact instrument reliability and data accuracy.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned downtime and ensure continuous customer operations.
  • Provide on-site calibration services for high-volume customers as required.
  • Support sales efforts by qualifying leads and promoting Agilent’s service and support products.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal Agilent teams including Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Deliver technical training sessions and workshops to customers and field engineers on instrument operation, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all customer and vendor credentialing requirements, including identification verification, safety certifications, and site access protocols.
  • Operate as a single-point technical resource for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through responsive and expert service.
  • May work with third-party products integrated into customer systems and provide support for multi-vendor environments.
  • Travel to customer locations is required 100% of the time; role is not office-based.
  • Work standard day shifts with no fixed end date; position is full-time with ongoing responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate product issues and contribute feedback to R&D for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all service activities align with Agilent’s quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, parts used, and customer interactions.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Valid standard driver’s license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in field engineering or user-level operation of ICP-MS, ICP-OES, or similar analytical instruments
  • English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 500 or higher (no resistance to using English in work)
