📋 Description

• As an Embedded Software Engineer at Vay, you will work on safety-critical software that directly controls vehicle functions such as acceleration, steering, braking, fault monitoring, and emergency responses in real time, enabling remote operation of vehicles on public roads.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and verifying embedded software for safe remote vehicle operation, analyzing and validating system behavior across software and hardware boundaries, working hands-on with hardware including measurement equipment and schematics, analyzing fleet data and logs to guide improvements, and collaborating closely with hardware, motion-control, systems, testing, and operations teams to solve unique remote driving challenges.
• Vay is a pioneer in remote driving technology, operating the world’s first commercial driverless car fleet on public roads in Las Vegas and scaling rapidly across Europe and the US, backed by a $410 million strategic investment from Grab Holdings Inc., with a mission to replace private car ownership through faster, cleaner, door-to-door mobility.
• In this role, you will gain genuine ownership of safety-critical systems early in your career, see your code deployed in production within weeks or months, develop deep expertise in embedded systems for autonomous vehicles, and grow into broader system ownership through hands-on experience with real-time systems, hardware integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
