- • Lead the end-to-end delivery and product ownership of Statista’s integrated Billing Service, a critical system enabling accurate, compliant, and scalable revenue operations across international markets.
- • Own architecture, design, development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of a complex billing platform integrating Salesforce, SAP, Stripe, Avalara, and other external systems.
- • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and product owners, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance in a fast-growing, data-driven organization.
- • Serve as the primary product owner, translating business requirements into technical roadmaps and ensuring alignment between engineering, finance, sales, and compliance stakeholders.
- • Drive best practices in service-oriented architecture, API design, security, testing, CI/CD, and release management within a multi-vendor, multi-system environment.
- • Manage risks and dependencies across global tax jurisdictions, currencies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ASC 606, IFRS 15) to support Statista’s international expansion.
- • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development to build a high-caliber billing engineering team capable of supporting long-term product innovation.
- • Contribute to Statista’s mission of empowering fact-based decisions by ensuring the reliability and integrity of its core revenue infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading engineering teams responsible for complex, integrated billing or revenue management systems in international environments.
- • Deep technical expertise in integrating Salesforce (including multiple orgs), SAP ERP, Stripe payment gateway, and Avalara tax service.
- • Strong product management skills, including backlog prioritization, stakeholder management, roadmap planning, and user story refinement.
- • Extensive knowledge of international tax regimes, compliance standards, and revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606 / IFRS 15).
- • Expertise in service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native platforms, and software engineering best practices (CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, incident response).
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively bridge technical and business stakeholders.
