📋 Description

• • Own the full lifecycle of mission-critical backend systems—from initial scoping and architecture to shipping rock-solid, production-grade code that delights millions of users.
• • Architect, build, and scale high-performance APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) that serve as the backbone of Peec’s products, ensuring sub-second response times and 99.9 % uptime.
• • Design distributed systems that gracefully handle traffic spikes, data surges, and evolving product requirements while maintaining security, observability, and cost efficiency.
• • Partner daily with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and Designers to translate ambitious product visions into elegant backend solutions that feel invisible to the end user.
• • Push the boundaries of modern backend engineering by experimenting with cutting-edge patterns, libraries, and cloud services—then share your learnings through internal tech talks and public blog posts.
• • Continuously evolve our cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Firestore, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch) to enable rapid, safe iteration at startup speed.
• • Champion DevOps best practices: build CI/CD pipelines, codify infrastructure with Terraform or Pulumi, and automate everything from testing to deployment and rollback.
• • Proactively profile, benchmark, and optimize system performance; turn data-driven insights into concrete improvements that shave milliseconds and save euros.
• • Mentor mid-level engineers through pair programming, thoughtful code reviews, and architecture deep-dives—raising the technical bar for the entire backend guild.
• • Contribute to open-source projects and internal tooling that make every developer at Peec more productive, from shared libraries to CLI generators.
• • Stay on top of emerging AI trends; integrate large-language-model endpoints (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama) securely and efficiently into our data pipelines.
• • Foster a culture of psychological safety where kind, candid feedback is the norm and every voice is heard—regardless of chess rating or résumé pedigree.
• • Participate in on-call rotations with a blameless-postmortem culture, turning incidents into learning opportunities that harden our systems and sharpen our instincts.
