Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Shape the future of AI at Wüest Partner as our first dedicated Data Science & AI Engineer in Lisbon. You will sit at the intersection of research-grade innovation and production-grade engineering, turning cutting-edge models into scalable products that move the business forward from day one.
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML systems—from raw data ingestion to model deployment and continuous monitoring—ensuring every line of code you write directly impacts customer experience and operational efficiency.
- • Architect and optimize Large Language Model (LLM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using LangChain, turning unstructured text into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- • Design, train and fine-tune computer-vision models with PyTorch to solve real-world problems such as document classification, property-image analysis and automated quality control across our software suite.
- • Write clean, testable and well-documented Python code that follows SOLID principles, leveraging modern design patterns to keep our AI stack maintainable as it scales to millions of predictions per day.
- • Containerize every component with Docker and orchestrate multi-service stacks via Docker Compose, enabling reproducible experiments and frictionless rollouts across dev, staging and production environments.
- • Establish robust Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar) that automate testing, linting, security scanning and deployment, reducing release cycles from weeks to hours.
- • Collaborate daily with product managers, software engineers and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring AI capabilities are seamlessly embedded into existing micro-services and APIs.
- • Continuously evaluate emerging frameworks, libraries and cloud services—such as vector databases, prompt-engineering toolkits or GPU-accelerated inference engines—to keep our stack state-of-the-art and cost-effective.
- • Champion a culture of experimentation by setting up A/B testing infrastructure, model-drift detection and real-time dashboards that give stakeholders transparent visibility into model performance and ROI.
- • Mentor junior developers and data scientists through pair-programming, code reviews and internal tech talks, raising the overall technical bar of the Lisbon engineering hub.
- • Contribute to the company-wide AI strategy by preparing executive briefings, patent disclosures and conference submissions that showcase our innovations to the broader PropTech and FinTech communities.
