📋 Description

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Galvany, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the energy transition by building the user-facing interfaces of an AI-powered Operating System for heat pumps, battery storage, and smart energy systems. Your work will directly enable installers, operations teams, and homeowners to interact seamlessly with complex energy data and workflows, making sustainable technology accessible, reliable, and affordable for everyday users.
• You will translate sophisticated energy system functionalities into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that empower users to monitor, control, and optimize their home energy usage — turning technical complexity into clear, actionable experiences that drive real-world decarbonization impact.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Building polished, accessible, and responsive UI components using React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Shadcn/ui, ensuring pixel-perfect fidelity to Figma design specifications while maintaining strict accessibility and cross-browser compatibility standards.
• Collaborating closely with product designers to interpret design intent, provide constructive feedback on feasibility, and rapidly prototype UI solutions using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate iteration cycles.
• Integrating frontend components with backend APIs built in GoLang and Laravel, managing data flow, state synchronization, and error handling to ensure seamless, real-time visualization of energy metrics, system status, and operational workflows.
• Optimizing application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, efficient rendering techniques, and bundle analysis to deliver fast, smooth experiences across devices and network conditions, particularly for users in field operations or residential settings.
• Taking full ownership of features from concept and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement based on user feedback and analytics, embracing an outcome-led mindset that prioritizes impact over output.
• Leveraging AI tools such as Claude Code to explore innovative frontend patterns, automate repetitive tasks, and rapidly prototype new features — always balancing speed with maintainability, code quality, and long-term scalability.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in frontend development, preferably in high-performance environments such as fast-scaling startups, top-tier consulting, or product-driven tech companies.
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership in frontend projects — from initial concept and design collaboration through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch iteration.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, with demonstrated ability to build complex, stateful UIs using modern hooks, context, and state management patterns.
• Expertise in implementing designs with high fidelity using Tailwind CSS and component libraries like Shadcn/ui, with a keen eye for visual detail, interaction quality, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Experience working in spec-driven development environments, including fluency with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate prototyping and iteration.
• Self-directed mindset with a habit of taking initiative, seeking clarity independently, and delivering results without requiring constant direction or ticket-level micromanagement.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German language skills are considered a strong plus for local collaboration and customer engagement.
