📋 Description

• As the Staff Frontend Engineer at Control, you will own the production web application end-to-end, serving as the primary frontend engineer responsible for shaping the user interface of a private custody platform designed for multi-generational digital wealth management. Your work will directly impact how families and individuals trust Control with their digital legacy across blockchains.
• You will own the React frontend architecture, feature delivery, performance, and polish; collaborate closely with design to turn Figma files into production-ready interfaces; build and evolve the design system and shared component library; integrate with Dynamic.xyz for multi-chain wallet connectivity across EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and future networks; construct transaction signing flows, real-time balances, portfolio dashboards, and asset-management experiences that simplify complex blockchain operations; connect the frontend to the Node.js/TypeScript API with real blockchain-backed operations; establish reusable frontend patterns, standards, and conventions for a long-lasting codebase; write E2E tests with Playwright and component tests with Jest + React Testing Library; implement frontend observability, error tracking, and analytics; partner with the mobile engineer to align web and iOS experiences; leverage AI tools daily for code generation, scaffolding, testing, and problem-solving as embedded infrastructure; and contribute to architectural and product decisions as a senior voice on a small, high-impact team.
• Control is rebuilding its platform from the ground up as a greenfield product (v2) with real users and market validation, offering the rare opportunity to build a definitive frontend architecture without legacy constraints, guided by a mission to create custody infrastructure where trust is measured in decades, not sprints.
• You will develop deep expertise in high-trust crypto UX, including transaction states, gas estimation, address validation, network switching, and signing flows; master modern frontend state management with Redux Toolkit and React Query/TanStack Query; gain hands-on experience with Vite, TailwindCSS, Server Components, and concurrent React features; refine your product engineering instincts by advocating for user needs in technical decisions; and grow as a leader who shapes both code and culture in a small, autonomous, remote team focused on building lasting, trustworthy interfaces for digital wealth.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership and frontend ownership.
• 8+ years building production React applications with TypeScript.
• Strong grasp of crypto UX challenges: transaction states, gas estimation, address validation, network switching, signing flows, and the trust dynamics unique to custody products.
• Deep knowledge of modern frontend state management — Redux Toolkit, React Query / TanStack Query.
• Experience with Vite, TailwindCSS, and modern React patterns (Server Components awareness, concurrent features, composition patterns).
• Strong UI craft and product instinct — you care about detail, trust signals, loading states, edge cases, error recovery, and responsive behavior.
• Comfortable working directly from Figma and contributing product and UX feedback — not just executing designs, but improving them.
• Experience building and maintaining a design system in production. Experience writing automated tests across unit, integration, and E2E layers.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end and operating autonomously in a small, remote team.
