📋 Description
- • Senior Software Engineer (Frontend – Angular & React) at Web.com Group, Inc. (operating as Bluehost) is a pivotal role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modern, scalable web applications that empower small businesses to succeed online. This position directly contributes to Bluehost’s mission of delivering powerful simplicity, premium performance, and smart tools through an all-in-one platform, ensuring that frontend systems are robust, accessible, and performant across diverse user environments.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and developing scalable single-page and hybrid-rendered applications using both Angular and React; leading frontend architecture decisions that balance maintainability, performance, and developer experience; writing clean, reusable, and well-structured JavaScript/TypeScript code using established design patterns; ensuring applications meet OWASP Top 10 security standards; collaborating with design and product teams to deliver accessible, WCAG-compliant user experiences (including ARIA implementation); optimizing application performance across devices and network conditions; mentoring junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and contribution to engineering standards; and maintaining high unit test coverage and full accessibility (a11y) in all React-based features using Hooks, state management tools, and modern testing strategies.
- • The frontend engineering team at Bluehost operates within a culture of innovation and inclusion, supporting small businesses globally with tools that combine technical excellence and human support. Engineers work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where cross-functional partnership with product, design, and backend teams is essential to delivering cohesive user experiences. The team values clean code, architectural integrity, and continuous learning, fostering an environment where engineers are encouraged to grow their expertise in both established and emerging frontend technologies.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise-scale Angular and modern React ecosystems, including advanced state management (e.g., NgRx, Tanstack Query), performance optimization techniques, accessibility standards (WCAG A/AA/AAA), and scalable frontend architecture. You will gain leadership experience in shaping technical direction, mentoring peers, and influencing engineering standards across a large-scale product used by millions of small businesses. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful features that directly affect user engagement, conversion, and satisfaction, while building a strong foundation for long-term growth in frontend engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
🎯 Requirements

- • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, including state management, component design, and separation of concerns
