• • As a Frontend Engineer on our Platform Team, you will be at the vanguard of developing the user experience that defines Bunch's platform. We seek individuals who approach product development with a craftsman's dedication, blending technical mastery with a deep understanding of user needs and a collaborative spirit across cross-functional teams. Your contributions will directly influence the thousands of users who manage billions in assets, empowering them with sophisticated tools and intuitive interfaces.
• • You will be entrusted with the freedom and ownership to architect and implement the most effective solutions, playing a key role in shaping our product roadmap. This includes taking the lead on architectural decisions, maintaining and evolving our comprehensive Design System and component library, and building platform features from the ground up. Your work will ensure that our platform is not only functional and robust but also a pleasure to use, driving efficiency and trust in the complex world of private markets.
• • Key responsibilities include building resilient, scalable, and thoroughly tested frontend applications. You will leverage modern frontend frameworks, our established Design System, and a robust component library to deliver high-quality user interfaces. A significant aspect of this role involves leading technical decisions, particularly during our strategic migration from Svelte to modern React (v19). This transition requires careful planning, execution, and a deep understanding of both existing and target technologies to ensure a seamless and performant outcome.
• • Collaboration is central to our success. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Quality Assurance professionals within the Platform Team to expedite the delivery of high-quality features. This includes actively participating in product discovery, providing and receiving feedback, and engaging in design critiques to ensure alignment and excellence. You will also partner with backend engineers to define scalable API contracts and implement type-safe validation generation, fostering a cohesive and efficient development process.
• • Enhancing the Developer Experience (DX) is a priority. You will contribute to improving our tooling, strengthening our testing infrastructure, and creating comprehensive documentation. Ensuring a superior developer experience is paramount, alongside continuously optimizing the performance and reliability of our frontend applications. This involves writing meaningful tests across the testing pyramid—unit, integration, and end-to-end—to guarantee stability and quality.
• • You will take full ownership of the frontend domain within the Platform Team, influencing platform-wide architectural and strategic decisions. This includes driving alignment between design and development, tackling challenging UX cases, and owning the evolution of our in-house Design System in close partnership with the design team. Furthermore, you will guide the team in making sound architecture and performance decisions, and actively mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
