📋 Description

• As a Sr Software Engineer at Voldex Services Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Brookhaven — one of the most popular and heavily trafficked games on the Roblox platform, with millions of daily active players. Your contributions will directly impact the gameplay experience, technical stability, and long-term scalability of a title that serves as a flagship in Voldex’s portfolio, helping sustain its position as the #1 Roblox developer by audience size.
• You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and launching new features and gameplay systems that delight millions of players globally, writing clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including designers, artists, and producers to bring creative visions to life, debugging and optimizing live game systems to ensure smooth performance under high load, elevating the overall technical quality of the game through proactive improvements and code health initiatives, and regularly playtesting builds to provide insightful feedback on design, balance, and user experience — ensuring that every update not only functions well but also feels fun and engaging to play.

• In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in live game operations, Lua scripting at scale, and real-time analytics-driven development, while gaining hands-on experience with modern tooling such as Snowflake, Tableau, GitHub, and Discord. You’ll grow as a technical leader by shipping impactful updates to a massive audience, refining your ability to balance creativity with performance, and contributing to games that are played by millions — all while working in a flexible, supportive environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and problem-solving abilities
• 2+ years of professional Roblox development experience with proven ability to ship features
• Familiarity with game engines, scripting languages (especially Lua), and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited for remote, cross-functional teamwork
• Ability to debug, optimize, and maintain live game systems under high player concurrency
• Willingness to work EST/PST hours and travel 2–3 times per year for team meet-ups and onboarding
