📋 Description

• • As a Staff Data Scientist in the Payments Optimization team at Airwallex, you will drive the technical strategy for optimizing payment conversion rates, fraud risk, and transaction costs through advanced algorithms and data-driven decision-making.
• • Day to day, you will design and implement optimization algorithms such as contextual bandits, lead experimentation using A/B testing and causal inference, collaborate with engineering to deploy ML systems to production, and mentor junior data scientists and engineers.
• • You will join a global team of over 2,000 innovators across 26 offices, working at a company valued at US$8 billion that powers payments for over 200,000 businesses including Brex, Rippling, Qantas, and SHEIN.
• • In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by influencing product strategy, shaping high-impact cross-functional initiatives, and advancing your expertise in ML systems, experimentation, and AI-enhanced model development in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
