📋 Description

• This role is a senior, autonomous Partnership & Sourcing Manager based in Istanbul, Turkey, serving as the local representative for Limepack, a fast-growing European e-commerce company specializing in custom-printed takeaway packaging. The position is critical to expanding Limepack’s production partnership network in Turkey by identifying, vetting, and building long-term relationships with top-tier packaging manufacturers, ensuring compliance with stringent European food packaging standards.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting online and offline research to map packaging and printing producers in Istanbul, personally visiting factories to perform compliance checks, audit workflows, and run pre-shipment quality control, bridging the EU-Turkey compliance gap by ensuring manufacturers meet European food safety and material standards, conducting light negotiations to secure strong commercial terms, and onboarding a local compliance testing house or legal partner as the first paid task (10–30 hours).
• Limepack is a dynamic, fast-growing European e-commerce company growing at 30–50% annually, doubling in size every 2–3 years. The company connects European brands with top-tier manufacturers and is now scaling its production network in Turkey, with this role reporting directly to the Product Sourcer and CEO under a freelance/B2B contract.
• The successful candidate will gain deep expertise in international supply chain management, EU regulatory compliance for food contact materials, cross-cultural business negotiation, and factory auditing. They will have the opportunity to build and scale a strategic supplier network from the ground up, directly impacting Limepack’s growth and product quality while operating with significant autonomy as an independent contractor.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain Management
• Direct experience working with manufacturing, ideally in paper products, packaging, printing, or FMCG (food contact materials/cosmetics is a massive plus)
• Native Turkish and excellent business-level English proficiency
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to travel heavily around Istanbul’s industrial zones
• Ability to legally invoice Limepack as an independent contractor/freelancer (e.g., Sahis Sirketi)
• Highly professional communicator capable of confidently representing Limepack to factory owners and directors
