- ⢠As an Account Development Representative (ADR) at Kong Inc., you will play a pivotal role in fueling the companyâs growth by identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, serving as a critical bridge between marketing, sales, and customer success teams. This role is foundational to Kongâs sales engine, directly contributing to pipeline generation and revenue growth in the fast-evolving API and AI connectivity market.
- ⢠You will engage in a structured 90-day onboarding journey designed to accelerate your sales career, beginning with a 2-week sales bootcamp, followed by weekly 1:1 mentorship and global virtual training sessions. By month one, youâll be integrated into the Kong team, familiar with Kong Konnectâs value proposition, and understand how ADR, Marketing, and Account Executive teams collaborate. By month two, youâll confidently engage prospects via phone, shadow experienced reps, participate in role plays, and begin delivering against your ramp quota. By month three, youâll master the sales funnel, apply Kongâs sales methodologies consistently, provide actionable insights to improve processes, and consistently meet or exceed your quarterly opportunity targets.
- ⢠Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing inbound and outbound sales campaigns from concept to qualified lead, leveraging telephone, video, LinkedIn, and email to connect with IT and business decision-makers. You will maintain accurate lead and prospect data in Salesforce, schedule introductory meetings for Account Executives, nurture early-stage opportunities for future pipeline potential, and actively collaborate with marketing and sales teams to maximize win rates. Continuous self-development is expected, with a focus on refining communication, prospecting, and product knowledge skills to drive personal and team success.

- ⢠1-2+ years of proven experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or lead generation, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
- ⢠Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French, including active listening, persuasive messaging, and professional phone etiquette
- ⢠A self-motivated âhunterâ mindset with comfort in cold calling, prospecting, following up on leads, and thriving in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- ⢠Proficiency in learning and adapting quickly to new technologies, particularly API and AI-related platforms, with the ability to understand and articulate complex business solutions
- ⢠Strong organizational skills and experience using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce) to track activity, manage pipelines, and maintain accurate records
