  • • As an Account Development Representative (ADR) at Kong Inc., you will play a pivotal role in fueling the company’s growth by identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, serving as a critical bridge between marketing, sales, and customer success teams. This role is foundational to Kong’s sales engine, directly contributing to pipeline generation and revenue growth in the EMEA region, with a specific focus on German-speaking markets.
  • • You will engage in a structured 90-day onboarding and ramp-up plan designed to accelerate your sales career, beginning with a comprehensive 2-week sales bootcamp, followed by ongoing mentorship, call shadowing, role-playing, and hands-on experience with Kong’s API and AI connectivity platform, Kong Konnect. By month three, you will be expected to independently manage outreach campaigns, conduct discovery calls, and consistently meet or exceed your monthly and quarterly opportunity quotas.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Account Executive teams to design and execute inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns, leveraging tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn, email, and video conferencing to engage IT and business decision-makers across German-speaking territories.
  • • Your daily responsibilities will include prospecting via cold calls, emails, and social outreach; updating and maintaining accurate lead and opportunity data in Salesforce; nurturing early-stage opportunities; setting qualified introductory meetings for Account Executives; and providing actionable feedback to marketing and sales teams to refine targeting and messaging.

  • • 1-2+ years of proven sales or customer-facing experience, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • • Fluency in German (spoken and written) is required; additional European languages such as French or Dutch are a strong plus
  • • Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, persuasive phone etiquette, and clear, professional written outreach via email and LinkedIn
  • • Self-motivated ā€˜hunter’ mentality with comfort in cold calling, prospecting, and persistent follow-up, coupled with a strong drive to win and achieve goals
  • • Ability to quickly learn and articulate complex technical products (APIs, AI, cloud infrastructure) and translate business value for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred) and willingness to adopt new sales enablement technologies
