📋 Description

  • As an Account Development Representative at Kong Inc., you will partner with the Sales team to develop and execute inbound and outbound campaigns that generate qualified opportunities, playing a key role in driving pipeline growth and supporting the company’s mission to power the agentic era through API and AI connectivity.
  • Your day-to-day activities will include prospecting via phone, video, LinkedIn, and email; updating lead activity in Salesforce; setting introductory meetings for Account Executives; nurturing early-stage opportunities; collaborating with marketing and sales teams; and continuously developing your sales skills through training, role plays, and feedback.
  • You will join a fast-growing, innovative team at Kong Inc., a trusted leader in API and AI infrastructure serving Fortune 500 companies and startups, where collaboration between Sales, Marketing, and Product teams is central to maximizing business impact.
  • In this role, you will build deep product and sales expertise, master Kong’s sales methodologies, exceed quarterly quotas, and develop the skills needed for long-term success in sales — positioning yourself for future growth into Account Executive or other commercial roles within the organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of strong sales or customer-facing experience
  • Outstanding communication skills including phone, written communication, and active listening
  • Self-starter with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals
  • Ability and willingness to learn, react to, and share lessons learned across the organization
  • Open to feedback and able to apply it to daily workflow
  • Comfortable with prospecting, cold-calling, and following up on inbound leads
