📋 Description

  • • The Account Development Representative (ADR) role at Kong Inc. is critical to driving pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads for the Sales team, directly contributing to revenue generation in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment based in Chicago with remote flexibility.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing inbound and outbound sales campaigns, prospecting via phone, video, LinkedIn, and email, updating lead activity in Salesforce, setting qualified introductory meetings for Account Executives, nurturing early-stage opportunities, and collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams to maximize win rates.
  • • Kong Inc. is a leader in API and AI connectivity technologies, powering the agentic era with its Kong Konnect platform, trusted by Fortune 500 companies and startups to secure, manage, and monetize API and AI traffic; the ADR will be part of a motivated, collaborative sales organization focused on continuous learning and high performance.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep sales and product expertise, master Kong’s sales methodologies, gain hands-on experience with Salesforce and sales engagement tools, build strong cross-functional relationships, and position yourself for future advancement into Account Executive or other sales leadership roles through structured ramp-up quotas and self-development investment.

  • • 1-2+ years of strong sales or customer-facing experience
  • • A self-starter with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding goals
  • • Outstanding communication skills including phone, written communication, and active listening
  • • A ‘hunter’ mentality — comfortable with prospecting, cold-calling, and following up on leads
  • • Openness to feedback and ability to apply learnings to daily workflow
  • • Desire to work in a driven, fast-paced environment
