  • • As an Account Director for Cision's West Coast region, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and deepening relationships within our most strategic, high-value enterprise accounts, primarily focusing on Fortune 100 companies.
  • • This pivotal role sits within the Sales organization, with a clear mandate to expand Cision's service footprint across your assigned account base, ensuring sustained revenue growth and client commitment.
  • • You will be responsible for achieving assigned revenue targets and other key account objectives, demonstrating a proactive approach to business development and client management.
  • • Your primary focus will be on retaining and growing existing business by identifying opportunities to introduce new offers and expand Cision's solutions to new divisions and subsidiaries within these major brands.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the typical business challenges and strategic objectives faced by your clients, enabling you to effectively map Cision's product features and associated benefits to address their specific needs.
  • • You will collaborate closely with marketing and pre-sales teams to conceptualize, build, and launch targeted upsell programs that effectively highlight the value proposition of Cision's evolving suite of solutions.
  • • Working in tandem with internal stakeholders, including Product, Customer Success, and Client Services teams, you will act as a Cision evangelist, championing our product offerings to clients and ensuring their expectations and performance objectives are consistently met and exceeded.
  • • A key responsibility is to strategically introduce Cision's comprehensive solutions to additional client teams and groups, thereby advancing our position and influence across these key accounts.
  • • You will coordinate the development of sophisticated, strategic account plans in close partnership with Customer Success teams. This collaboration is crucial for aligning the timing and sequence of sales processes with renewal and retention efforts, creating a seamless and value-driven client experience.
  • • This role requires a significant commitment to client engagement, with an expectation of a minimum of 30% travel to meet with your clients face-to-face, fostering stronger relationships and deeper understanding of their evolving needs.
  • • Ultimately, your success will be measured by your ability to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas within your designated strategic accounts, contributing directly to Cision's overall growth and market leadership.
  • • You will be empowered to engage clients proactively, articulating the tangible value of marketing technology, data, analytics, and strategic services to build higher revenue streams with major brands.
  • • You will oversee renewal and upsell programs in conjunction with Customer Success Managers, ensuring continuous value delivery to our clients while simultaneously growing their investment and commitment to Cision.
  • • Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales, you will leverage your expertise to bring the best strategic thinking to this critical role, ensuring Cision effectively meets the complex needs of our brand clients and delivers sustained revenue growth.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in a sales or account management role, specifically managing enterprise-level accounts.
  • • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and retention within large, complex organizations.
  • • Demonstrated success in building and nurturing high-level relationships across multiple departments within Fortune 100 companies.
  • • Strong understanding of marketing technology, data, analytics, and communication intelligence solutions, with the ability to articulate their value proposition.
  • • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with comfort in leading meetings and pitching solutions to large groups.
  • • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a remote environment, while also being a dedicated team player.
