- • As an Account Executive at Backflip, you will be entrusted with the entire sales cycle, from identifying and engaging potential clients to qualifying leads and ultimately closing deals for purpose loans tailored to real estate investors. Your primary objective will be to drive origination volume by expertly navigating the sales process from initial prospecting and qualification through to the successful execution of term sheets.
- • We are looking for a candidate who possesses a proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas in a full-cycle sales capacity. Direct experience in outbound sales, particularly within the lending products sector, is highly desirable. You should be a resilient, data-driven individual who not only thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy setting but is also enthusiastic about the prospect of building, testing, and scaling effective sales playbooks that drive tangible results.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include mastering and executing a high-velocity outbound sales strategy. This involves leveraging a multi-channel approach, including strategic phone calls, targeted email campaigns, direct messaging via social media, and potentially engaging at in-person events, all aimed at cultivating a robust, self-sourced pipeline of qualified real estate investors. You will become an expert in Backflip's diverse capital products and stringent credit parameters, ensuring a sharp focus on originating loans for high-quality borrowers that contribute to long-term loan portfolio performance.
- • Effective pipeline management and accurate forecasting are critical. You will be expected to meticulously manage and forecast your pipeline and conversion rates with a high degree of accuracy, utilizing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure all activities and opportunities are diligently tracked and reported. This data-driven approach will be essential for optimizing sales strategies and demonstrating progress.
- • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with our Loan Operations, Servicing, and other internal departments to guarantee a seamless and best-in-class borrower experience from application to closing and beyond. Your insights will be invaluable in refining our offerings and processes.
- • Furthermore, you will serve as the crucial "voice of the borrower," channeling borrower feedback and market-driven insights directly to leadership. This input will be instrumental in helping us refine our product-market fit, optimize pricing strategies, and enhance our competitive positioning in the dynamic real estate investment landscape.
- • Beyond individual contribution, you will play a role in the growth of our sales team. This includes assisting in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new peers, fostering a collaborative environment, and contributing to the collective mission of Backflip to empower real estate investors with the capital they need.
- • Success in this role is defined by consistently meeting and exceeding funded loan volume quotas. A significant portion of your funded pipeline should be self-sourced, a testament to your outbound prospecting prowess. We also aim for a high-quality loan portfolio stemming from your originations, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainable and responsible lending practices. We anticipate a ramp-up time of approximately three months to reach full productivity, achieved through a thorough mastery of our products and sales processes.

🎯 Requirements
- • 2-4+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role, with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting.
- • Direct experience originating loan products (e.g., hard money, fix-and-flip, DSCR) to residential real estate investors.
- • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport, negotiate, and close deals.
- • Strong technology and process orientation, with experience managing a pipeline in a modern CRM (HubSpot).
- • Personal or professional experience as a real estate investor is preferred.
- • An existing network of real estate investors, brokers, or industry partners is preferred.
