- • Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this pivotal role will be instrumental in driving our ambitious growth objectives for 2026 and beyond. You will serve as a trusted advisor to new clients, rapidly developing deep expertise in our product, the intricacies of the tax industry, and our unique value proposition. This position offers the opportunity to own the full sales cycle for Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) accounting firms across North America, with potential for expansion into new markets, all while working towards ambitious quarterly and annual targets in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- • In your initial months, you will immerse yourself in Blue J's business, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our mission and market position. You will master our cutting-edge product, developing the confidence and knowledge to articulate its benefits effectively. Crucially, you will establish strong sales fundamentals, learning our proven methodologies and best practices. By the six-month mark, you are expected to be independently managing a robust sales pipeline, confidently delivering compelling product demonstrations, skillfully negotiating pricing and terms, collaborating effectively with our Business Development Representatives (BDRs), maintaining a strong and professional presence on LinkedIn, and representing Blue J with distinction at key industry events.
- • To thrive in this role, you will approach our product, customers, and sales process with an insatiable curiosity, constantly seeking to understand how Blue J delivers exceptional value and identifying new avenues for growth. You will be responsible for running full-cycle sales engagements across a dedicated US and Canada SMB territory, ensuring a customer-first experience from the initial discovery call through to the final close.
- • Your ability to manage a balanced sales funnel, with approximately 70% inbound leads and 30% outbound prospecting, will be key. You will engage prospects thoughtfully, leveraging data to prioritize your efforts and maximize your impact. Leading consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, you will adeptly help prospects uncover their unique challenges and guide them toward the most suitable solutions with empathy, clarity, and a deep understanding of their needs.
- • Collaboration is central to our success. You will partner closely with BDRs to ensure smooth lead handoffs and maintain pipeline quality, fostering a culture of teamwork, shared learning, and continuous improvement. Your insights from real customer conversations will be invaluable, providing critical feedback to our product development teams and strengthening our overall market understanding.
- • Maintaining an active and authentic presence on LinkedIn is encouraged, helping to build brand awareness, share industry insights, and engage with the professional community. You will also have the opportunity to travel a few times per year to attend industry events and trade shows, representing Blue J with curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to learning from the market and our peers.
- • Ultimately, your contribution will be measured by your success in achieving monthly volume targets of roughly 15 to 20 new deals. This will require a focused, resilient approach, strong alignment with team goals, and a dedication to consistently delivering outstanding results.
