In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving our sales process, managing a high-volume pipeline, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction as we empower startups and SMBs with cutting-edge AI-powered accounting software.
- • As an Account Executive at Puzzle.Io, you will own the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting and lead qualification to closing deals and ensuring a seamless handover to our Customer Success team. Your primary objective will be to cultivate and manage a robust sales funnel, consistently moving leads through the pipeline with efficiency and a focus on customer needs. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential clients, understanding their unique financial challenges, and articulating how Puzzle.Io's innovative platform can provide real-time, comprehensive financial insights.
- • You will be a key educator for our target audience, particularly startup founders and small business owners who may have limited accounting expertise. Your ability to clearly communicate the value proposition of our AI-driven accounting software, highlighting its accuracy, native integrations with modern tools like Stripe, Ramp, Mercury, and Gusto, and its ability to go beyond traditional accounting to deliver AI-powered insights, variance analysis, and trend identification, will be crucial for success.
- • This position requires a data-driven mindset. You will be responsible for meticulously maintaining detailed records within our CRM system, leveraging sales metrics to analyze performance, refine sales strategies, and report on key success indicators to stakeholders. This analytical approach will ensure we are continuously optimizing our sales efforts and achieving our revenue growth objectives.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of our GTM strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Growth Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships. By aligning strategies and contributing to the development and execution of revenue growth initiatives, you will play a vital role in the overall success of Puzzle.Io.
- • We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, embraces ownership, and can effectively navigate multiple priorities. Your ability to handle a high volume of daily interactions, including 40+ calls, emails, and demos, while maintaining a high level of engagement and professionalism, is essential. You should possess strong communication skills, a knack for building rapport, and a confident approach to handling customer objections.
- • A process-oriented and results-driven individual will excel in this role. You should be adept at optimizing and adapting your sales approaches, with a keen eye for developing and implementing repeatable processes that drive consistent results. Understanding the nuances of SaaS sales, particularly within the fintech or accounting sectors, and having experience in high-velocity, transactional, or product-led growth environments will be highly advantageous.
- • While not strictly required, a foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping, coupled with an awareness of the specific challenges faced by startups and small businesses, will significantly enhance your effectiveness. Experience utilizing CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot, along with sales technology tools such as sequencing platforms (e.g., Apollo, Outreach), is also a strong plus.

🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive in SaaS sales, preferably in fintech or accounting, within high-velocity, transactional, or product-led growth environments, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, work cross-functionally, and take on substantial ownership.
- • Skilled in handling high call volumes (e.g., 40+ calls per day) and engaging effectively with potential customers via calls, emails, and demos.
- • Strong communication, objection handling, and rapport-building skills.
- • Process and results-oriented with the ability to optimize and adapt sales approaches.
- • Basic accounting and startup knowledge is strongly preferred.
- • Experience with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales technology platforms (e.g., Apollo, Outreach) is a plus.
