- • The Account Executive – Commercial (South Germany) role is a high-impact, quota-carrying position responsible for driving new customer acquisition and expanding Rapid7’s cybersecurity footprint across South West Germany. This role is critical to the company’s growth strategy in the DACH region, where the successful candidate will own the full sales cycle and directly contribute to securing digital environments for businesses facing evolving cyber threats.
- • What the person will do day to day:
- • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the Commercial segment in South Germany, managing the entire sales lifecycle from initial outreach to contract signing and post-sale handoff.
- • Prospect creatively and strategically to source new leads through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and market research, ensuring a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with Rapid7’s cybersecurity solutions.
- • Stay informed about competitor offerings, market trends, and emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape to effectively position Rapid7’s products and differentiate value in customer conversations.
- • Leverage customer insights gathered through discovery calls and business reviews to uncover pain points, influence strategic decisions, and tailor solutions that address specific security, compliance, and operational challenges.
- • Collaborate closely with Channel partners, Solutions Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless technical validation, accurate quoting, smooth implementation, and long-term account growth post-close.
- • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity tracking, and pipeline management in CRM systems, demonstrating precision and accountability in reporting while consistently striving to exceed quota targets.

- • The EMEA Sales organisation at Rapid7 partners with customers to secure their digital environments using the company’s full product portfolio, combining deep technical expertise with consultative sales approaches to deliver measurable security outcomes.
- • The DACH Sales team consists of 12 Account Executives supported by specialized functions including Business Development, Channel, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success, creating a collaborative ecosystem designed to drive regional growth and customer success.
- • What the person can learn or achieve in this role:
- • Develop advanced expertise in enterprise cybersecurity sales, including complex solution selling, stakeholder mapping, and navigating lengthy procurement cycles in regulated industries.
- • Accelerate career progression within a high-performing, global cybersecurity leader known for promoting from within, with clear pathways to Senior Account Executive, Enterprise AE, or Sales Management roles based on performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–5 years of full-cycle sales experience in software or technology, ideally within the cybersecurity industry
- • Demonstrated success in generating revenue through proactive prospecting and new business creation
- • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication and influencing abilities
