- • As an Account Executive (French-speaking) at Whatnot, you will be at the forefront of expanding our platform's reach and impact by identifying, acquiring, and nurturing new livestream sellers. This pivotal role sits within the dynamic Categories and Expansion team, which is dedicated to broadening our category offerings and fostering the growth of both sellers and buyers on Whatnot.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to manage a dedicated portfolio of potential and existing sellers, guiding them through the entire sales lifecycle. This includes initiating contact, presenting Whatnot's compelling value proposition, facilitating the onboarding process, and providing ongoing strategic coaching to ensure their success and growth on the platform.
- • You will be instrumental in driving the expansion of Whatnot's supply by actively sourcing and prospecting new sellers, with a particular focus on Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) that possess an existing online presence and the potential to scale significantly through our live shopping model.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve becoming the resident expert on how these businesses can leverage Whatnot to achieve substantial growth, understanding the nuances of their operations and tailoring solutions to their specific needs.
- • You will conduct engaging sales calls, primarily through video and phone, with prospective sellers. This requires a skillful approach to overcoming objections, clearly articulating the benefits of partnering with Whatnot, and building strong relationships.
- • The ultimate goal is to successfully close deals, onboard new sellers efficiently, and establish a foundation for their long-term success and profitability on the platform.
- • You will be expected to utilize key performance indicators and data points to meticulously assess seller performance, identify trends in growth and success, and pinpoint areas where improvement is needed. This analytical approach will drive continuous iteration and optimization of your sales strategies.
- • Collaboration is crucial. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop innovative business growth strategies, provide valuable feedback on product enhancements, and ensure a seamless experience for sellers.
- • This role offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work remotely or from one of our global office hubs. We recognize the importance of in-person interaction for strategic planning, collaborative problem-solving, and team building, and expect team members in this role to reside within commuting distance of our London, UK or Berlin, Germany hubs.
