- • Own and close a high volume of SMB and mid-market deals end-to-end for Clay’s GTM platform
- • Help customers discover and adopt Clay use cases that align with their specific go-to-market motion
- • Run fast, consultative sales cycles that balance speed with genuine product understanding and customer needs
- • Provide technical guidance during the sales process, meeting customers where they are in their understanding of AI and automation tools
- • Collaborate with product teams to translate customer feedback into actionable feature improvements and product enhancements
- • Develop consultative selling skills while staying at the forefront of emerging sales technologies and GTM strategies
- • Sell to hundreds of SMB and mid-market customers each quarter, helping them integrate Clay into their existing revenue stack
- • Identify where Clay creates value by quickly understanding a prospect’s go-to-market motion and operational workflows
- • Act as a bridge between technical product capabilities and non-technical buyers, translating complex features into clear business outcomes
- • Leverage creativity and experimentation to uncover novel ways to apply AI tools in your own sales process and customer engagements
- • Maintain deep familiarity with Clay’s integrations, data signals, and AI research capabilities to confidently guide customer adoption
- • Work alongside a team of diverse sellers including ex-product managers, founders, and BDRs who share a passion for GTM hacking
- • Continuously learn from the best GTM teams in tech — including customers like Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp — and apply those insights to your sales approach
- • Embrace Clay’s operating principles, including negative maintenance and non-attached action, to drive outcomes without rigid adherence to scripts or processes
- • Contribute to a culture that values creativity, curiosity, and continuous learning, where team members are encouraged to explore diverse interests outside of work
- • Participate in a high-velocity sales motion that prioritizes quality, speed, and innovation over traditional, formulaic sales tactics
- • Build long-term relationships with customers by positioning Clay not as a tool, but as a catalyst for unique, iterative growth strategies
- • Stay ahead of evolving AI-driven sales technologies and incorporate them into your daily workflow to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- • Be part of a sales team that has driven Clay to $100M in revenue and a $5B valuation through creative, non-traditional GTM practices
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years experience in a closing role or a technical role (Product, Solutions/Sales Engineering)
- • Experience with Clay or relevant GTM tools
- • High business IQ: ability to quickly understand how a prospect’s GTM motion works and identify where Clay creates value
- • Creative and resourceful, with a bias toward experimentation and finding clever ways to use AI tools in your own work
- • Clear and enthusiastic communicator who can translate technical concepts for non-technical users
- • Curiosity that doesn’t quit — learning something new every day excites you
