- • As an Account Executive I or II at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc., you will be instrumental in driving the success of complex and strategic client relationships within the Hospital & Health-Systems (Self-Insured) sector. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to manage a significant book of business, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and the achievement of ambitious financial targets. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and value.
- • For Account Executive I, your core responsibilities will include managing your assigned book of business to meet fiscal revenue targets set by management. You will be tasked with developing and executing annual strategic plans for each client, addressing their entire lifecycle from service and financial aspects to growth and clinical initiatives, all tailored to their specific business needs. A key focus will be ensuring high client satisfaction and retention by demonstrating tangible results and empowering the service team to meet client service goals. You will proactively identify and escalate client needs and issues using MedImpact's internal resources and forums, providing timely feedback to management on strategic plan performance to maximize service and growth opportunities.
- • You will oversee client projects and initiatives, assisting in the interpretation and contextualization of client requests. Maintaining the integrity of the annual strategic business plan and managing the fiscal revenue plan are critical. The renewal process, including the development and review of pricing proposals, mitigating organizational risks related to performance guarantees, and identifying opportunities for MedImpact product adoption and client expansion, will be a significant part of your role. You will lead renewal presentations, leveraging internal financial tools for thorough preparation and success. Support for the client implementation process, including oversight of implementation and contract terms, and the negotiation and management of client contracts throughout their lifecycle, are also key duties.
- • Building strong, positive internal relationships with your account service matrix team is essential to realizing the full potential of your book of business. You will collaborate with MedImpact subject matter experts to deepen your understanding of our products, services, and industry trends, integrating this knowledge to strengthen client relationships. Organizing and leading client business planning meetings, quarterly and annual executive pharmacy briefings, client leadership councils, and internal strategy planning discussions will be regular activities. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), organizational web-based tools, and supporting sales and prospect presentations are expected. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with client consultants will also be a part of your responsibilities.
- • For Account Executive II, you will manage larger, highly complex clients with intricate business needs, developing and managing strategic, financial, and business relationship plans that align with client goals, performance expectations, and growth in membership and profitability to meet departmental and organizational metrics. You will consistently ensure that deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the quality standards expected by both internal and external customers. Optimizing the potential for sustainable growth and profitability for your assigned book of business is paramount.
- • You will cultivate solid business relationships with clients at the executive level and with key decision-makers, determining where to make "focused investments" for each account. Utilizing financial and pricing models to analyze and present business and clinical scenarios to clients, illustrating the advantages of different benefit strategies and adoption, will be a core function. Organizing and leading client business planning meetings, financial performance reviews, leadership summits, and internal strategy planning discussions are key. Researching market trends and competitive practices to identify opportunities based on client needs and strategic objectives is also expected.
- • You will mentor new Account Executives during their onboarding process, proactively monitor the client service continuum to identify and address service delivery issues, and escalate concerns appropriately. Collaboration with internal leaders across business units for problem-solving, planning, and achieving successful outcomes is crucial. Demonstrating the ability to manage challenging situations positively and constructively is essential. Ensuring client retention and overseeing client contract renewals, including managing the RFP and negotiation process, are critical responsibilities. You will manage and prioritize negotiation elements within the scope of the total client relationship and organize/develop assigned Book of Business presentations.
- • Maintaining a thorough understanding of clients' business and financial goals and their relationship to MedImpact's goals in sustaining a profitable partnership is vital. You will provide regular feedback on strategic plan performance and outcomes to management, oversee projects and client initiatives, and assist in interpreting client requests. Providing support for escalated client team matters and participating in/supporting the implementation process for new clients, collaborating with Sales and Implementation teams on contract terms, are also key. Supporting sales and prospect presentations, including travel to Best and Final meetings, and developing effective relationships with client consultants are expected. Completing assignments, Salesforce cases, and training, including stretch assignments, are also part of the role.
- • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but requires strong leadership and influence within client engagements and internal teams.
