- • As an Account Executive at Saltz, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how chefs and gastronomy businesses source ingredients by introducing them to a transparent, digital marketplace that connects them directly with trusted suppliers and new producers, eliminating layers of distributors and hidden costs.
- • You will own and grow a portfolio of HoReCa accounts across Budapest and beyond, focusing on deepening relationships, increasing order frequency, and identifying expansion opportunities rather than merely maintaining existing clients.
- • Your day-to-day will involve visiting restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses to walk kitchens, understand operational challenges, and position Saltz as a solution that saves time, reduces costs, and improves ingredient quality and traceability.
- • You will actively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by listening closely to chefs, GMs, and procurement teams, then translating their needs into actionable platform improvements through collaboration with product and tech teams.
- • Representing Saltz at industry events, trade fairs, and supplier showcases, you will leverage your HoReCa credibility to build trust, generate leads, and strengthen the brand’s presence in the local food ecosystem.
- • You will work within a fast-moving, mission-driven team backed by €20M in Series A funding, where your contributions directly impact the company’s growth trajectory and your professional development is accelerated through exposure to bold thinkers in food tech and distribution.
- • Over time, you will develop advanced consultative selling skills, deepen your expertise in food supply chains and pricing dynamics, and become a trusted advisor to some of Budapest’s most innovative culinary professionals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients, with a background in food distribution, wholesale, or supply being highly preferred.
- • Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and chef purchasing behavior, enabling you to confidently discuss specs, costs, and value without being confused by technical details.
- • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and relationship expansion, not just acquiring new clients.
- • Ability to manage multiple demanding client relationships simultaneously while maintaining high responsiveness and follow-through.
- • Native Hungarian language proficiency and good English skills; additional European languages are considered a plus.

- • Competitive base salary ranging from €24,000–€32,000 for mid-level roles and €33,000–€44,000 for senior positions, plus uncapped commission on top of base pay.
