- • As an Account Executive at Saltz, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how chefs and gastronomy businesses source ingredients by introducing them to a transparent, digital marketplace that connects them directly with trusted suppliers and new producers, eliminating layers of distributors and hidden costs.
- • Your mission is to grow existing HoReCa accounts by deeply understanding client needs, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and positioning yourself as a trusted advisor who helps chefs order closer to the source with full pricing transparency and intuitive access to a global supplier network.
- • You will operate in Cologne and surrounding regions, visiting restaurants, hotels, and food service establishments regularly to walk kitchens, understand operational challenges, and uncover where Saltz can deliver greater value through improved sourcing, cost efficiency, and product discovery.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include introducing Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, and F&B managers; owning and expanding a portfolio of accounts; conducting in-person client visits to build rapport and gather feedback; identifying growth opportunities through consultative conversations; collaborating with product and tech teams to relay client insights; driving consistent platform usage; and representing Saltz at industry events, trade fairs, and supplier showcases where your HoReCa credibility opens doors.
- • You will work closely with a fast-moving, mission-driven team backed by €20M in Series A funding, where your contributions directly influence platform evolution and market expansion across hundreds of cities, giving you visibility and impact from day one.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients, with a background in food distribution, wholesale, or supply being essential.
- • Deep understanding of food pricing, margins, and chef purchasing behavior, enabling you to confidently discuss specs, costs, and value without being confused by technical details.
- • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and relationship expansion—not just acquiring new clients.
- • Ability to manage multiple demanding relationships simultaneously while maintaining high responsiveness and organizational discipline.
- • Native-level German proficiency and strong English skills; additional European languages are considered a plus.

- • Competitive base salary ranging from €46,000 to €58,000 for mid-level roles and €55,000 to €65,000 for senior positions, with uncapped commission on top.
