- • As an Account Executive at Saltz, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how chefs and gastronomy businesses source ingredients by connecting them directly with trusted producers through a transparent digital marketplace, driving meaningful change in an industry long burdened by opaque supply chains and intermediaries.
- • Your mission is to grow Saltz’s presence in Hamburg and beyond by converting HoReCa clients into active platform users and expanding existing accounts through strategic relationship-building and consultative sales.
- • Day to day, you will introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, F&B managers, and procurement teams, demonstrating how the platform simplifies ordering, ensures pricing transparency, and grants access to both familiar and new suppliers.
- • You will own and nurture a portfolio of restaurant and HoReCa accounts, focusing on growth rather than maintenance by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities through deep client engagement and active listening.
- • Regular client visits will be central to your approach — walking kitchens, understanding operational challenges, and uncovering where Saltz can deliver added value, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor.
- • You will collaborate closely with product and tech teams to channel client feedback into actionable improvements, ensuring the platform evolves in response to real-world needs from the front lines of the food industry.
- • Driving consistent platform usage across your accounts will be a key priority, as you work to keep chefs actively ordering and increase lifetime value through sustained engagement and satisfaction.
- • Representing Saltz at industry events, trade fairs, supplier showcases, and kitchen visits will allow you to leverage your HoReCa credibility to open doors and strengthen brand presence in the local gastronomy ecosystem.
- • You will join a fast-moving, venture-backed company that recently secured €20M in Series A funding, giving you the opportunity to learn from industry pioneers who are reshaping food distribution and making a tangible impact on how Europe’s kitchens source ingredients.
- • In this role, you’ll develop advanced consultative selling skills, deepen your understanding of food pricing dynamics and supply chain inefficiencies, and gain firsthand experience in scaling a B2B marketplace in a traditional industry ripe for disruption.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients, with a background in food distribution, wholesale, or supply chain sales.
- • Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and chef purchasing behavior, enabling confident conversations about specs, costs, and value without being misled by technical jargon.
- • Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and relationship expansion, not just acquiring new clients.
- • Fluency in German (C1 level) and good proficiency in English to effectively engage local clients and collaborate internally.
- • Comfort managing multiple high-touch relationships simultaneously while maintaining organization, follow-through, and client trust.

- • Competitive base salary: EUR 48,000–55,000 for MID level or EUR 55,000–65,000 for Senior level, annually gross.
