Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Account Executive at Saltz, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how chefs and foodservice businesses source ingredients by connecting them directly with trusted producers through a transparent digital marketplace. Your work will directly contribute to reducing inefficiencies in the food supply chain, empowering culinary professionals with better pricing, choice, and transparency, while helping local and international suppliers reach new markets. This role is central to Saltz’s mission of rebuilding the global food sourcing model from the ground up.
- • You will introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, F&B managers, and HoReCa decision-makers, guiding them to adopt the platform for their ingredient sourcing needs. Your day-to-day will involve owning and growing a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring they actively use the platform and increase their order frequency and value. You will regularly visit clients in their kitchens and operations to understand their pain points, build deep relationships, and position yourself as a trusted advisor who helps them solve real-world challenges.
- • A significant part of your role will be identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities by listening closely to client needs, asking insightful questions, and leveraging your knowledge of food pricing, margins, and supplier dynamics. You will collaborate with product and operations teams to feed client feedback into platform improvements, ensuring the marketplace evolves based on real user needs.
- • You will represent Saltz at industry events, trade fairs, supplier showcases, and restaurant openings, using your HoReCa credibility to open doors and strengthen brand presence in the foodservice community. Your ability to walk into a kitchen and speak the language of chefs and procurement teams will be a key differentiator.
- • Saltz is a fast-moving, venture-backed company that recently secured €20M in Series A funding, led by top European investors and operators behind Europe’s largest consumer marketplaces. You’ll join a mission-driven team passionate about fixing a broken industry, where your impact will be visible, measurable, and directly tied to company growth.
- • In this role, you’ll develop deep expertise in B2B SaaS sales within the hospitality sector, master consultative selling techniques, and gain hands-on experience scaling a two-sided marketplace. You’ll learn from industry veterans who have built successful marketplaces and food tech ventures, sharpening your strategic account management and relationship-building skills in a high-growth environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients — background in food distribution, wholesale, or food supply is essential
- • Strong understanding of food pricing, margins, and chef-driven purchasing decisions — ability to confidently discuss specs, costs, and value with culinary professionals
- • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts, not just acquiring new ones — success in expanding revenue within current client bases
- • Fluency in Polish (C1 level) and good proficiency in English — ability to communicate effectively in both languages for client and internal collaboration
- • Comfort managing multiple demanding relationships simultaneously — strong organizational and interpersonal skills to handle a busy portfolio of HoReCa accounts
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary: MID position EUR 24,000–30,000 or Senior position EUR 32,000–46,000 yearly gross, plus uncapped commission on top
- • Commuting expenses covered via business accounts (Bolt, Uber, Miles) for client visits and travel
- • €200/month Payhawk allowance for work-related expenses such as client coffees, meals, and small day-to-day costs
- • Hardware provided from day one to ensure you’re fully equipped to perform your role
- • Access to premier industry events including restaurant openings, trade fairs, and supplier showcases where you’ll represent Saltz in front of the foodservice community
- • Opportunity to learn from bold leaders in food tech and distribution who are reshaping how chefs source ingredients
- • Chance to be part of digitizing a traditionally analog industry, making a tangible impact on how food is sourced globally
- • Fast-growing, well-funded startup environment (post-€20M Series A) where your contributions are visible, valued, and directly tied to company success
