- • As an Account Executive at Saltz, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in Munich by connecting local chefs and culinary professionals with high-quality ingredients through the Saltz digital marketplace. Your work will directly contribute to reducing inefficiencies in the food supply chain, empowering chefs with transparent access to producers and helping suppliers reach new markets—making the culinary ecosystem more efficient, sustainable, and innovative.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include actively building and expanding the Saltz marketplace in Munich through targeted outreach and relationship development; conducting in-person product demonstrations in restaurants and professional kitchens to showcase the platform’s value; supporting customers during onboarding and their first orders to ensure a seamless experience; building long-term, trusted relationships with chefs, kitchen managers, and procurement decision-makers; analyzing purchasing behavior to recommend relevant products and optimize sourcing strategies; reactivating inactive customers and driving increased order volume through personalized engagement; and acting as a trusted advisor on sourcing, supplier selection, and product innovation based on deep market and culinary insights.
- • You will join a fast-growing, VC-backed FoodTech startup headquartered in Munich, backed by top European venture funds and experienced operators from Europe’s leading consumer marketplaces. The team is mission-driven, collaborative, and focused on transforming how the food industry sources ingredients—combining technology, transparency, and culinary passion to create a new standard in food procurement.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced skills in B2B sales within the hospitality and food tech sectors, deepen your expertise in food cost management, margin analysis, and commercial performance metrics, and gain hands-on experience scaling a digital marketplace in a dynamic European market. You’ll have the opportunity to shape Saltz’s go-to-market strategy in Munich, influence product feedback loops with real-world customer insights, and grow into a leadership position as the company expands across hundreds of cities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 4 years of sales experience with proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- • Fluent German (C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level)
- • Strong business acumen, including confidence in managing food cost, margins, and key commercial performance metrics
