We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Executive to spearhead our sales efforts in the Northeast region. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in expanding our reach and impact, helping small and medium-sized businesses provide their employees with a crucial path to financial independence through retirement savings.
- • As an Account Executive, you will manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospect engagement through to closing deals. This involves proactively identifying and researching target companies within your assigned territory using various prospecting tools. Your ability to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline will be critical to your success.
- • You will be responsible for conducting compelling product demonstrations, showcasing the value and ease of use of the Human Interest platform to prospective clients. This requires a deep understanding of our offerings and the ability to articulate how they solve real business needs and employee financial wellness challenges.
- • Negotiation will be a key aspect of your role, where you will work to finalize contracts and ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Meticulous record-keeping is essential; you will diligently document all sales activities, interactions, and progress within Salesforce.com, ensuring data integrity and providing valuable insights for sales strategy.
- • Success in this role hinges on your ability to effectively leverage all available sales technology tools to optimize your workflow, enhance customer engagement, and drive efficiency throughout the sales process. You will be empowered with the resources and support needed to excel.
- • Human Interest is revolutionizing the retirement industry by making it affordable and accessible for businesses of all sizes. Our innovative platform simplifies the process of offering 401(k) plans, empowering employers to invest in their employees' futures and helping to close the retirement savings gap that affects over half of working Americans.
- • You will play a direct role in achieving this mission by bringing our solution to market, educating businesses on the importance of retirement planning, and demonstrating the tangible value our platform provides. This is an opportunity to not just sell a product, but to make a significant positive impact on the financial well-being of countless individuals.
- • We are backed by top-tier investors, including Marshall Wace, Baillie Gifford, BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, and Uncork, reflecting our strong market position and growth potential. This financial backing enables us to continue innovating and expanding our services.
- • Your day-to-day will involve strategic outreach, consultative selling, and building strong relationships with business leaders. You'll need to be adept at understanding client needs, addressing concerns, and positioning Human Interest as the ideal partner for their retirement plan solutions.
- • We encourage a solutions-oriented approach, where you can identify customer objections and effectively guide them to understand the profound value our product offers, regardless of their prior familiarity with the retirement industry.
- • This role demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Building trust and rapport with clients is paramount, as is conveying genuine belief in the product and its mission.
- • You will be working within high-velocity sales cycles, often selling to small and medium-sized businesses, requiring agility, efficiency, and a keen understanding of their unique operational and financial considerations.
- • Resilience is a key attribute; you must be able to bounce back from setbacks, demonstrate resourcefulness, and creatively overcome challenges to achieve your goals.
- • A passion for solving significant problems and driving immediate, positive impact is essential. You will be contributing to a company that is tackling one of the nation's most pressing financial challenges.
- • We foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will be expected to embrace feedback, hold yourself accountable for your performance, and demonstrate a strong capacity to learn new technologies and apply them effectively in a business context.
- • As this role is focused on the Northeast region and requires close collaboration with teams operating on Eastern Standard Time, you must be located within the EST timezone.
- • This is more than just a sales job; it's an opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization that is making a real difference in people's lives. You will be instrumental in scaling our impact and helping more Americans save for a secure future.
