  • • As an Account Executive at Gartner, Inc., you will be at the forefront of driving client success and business growth within a designated territory of major client accounts in the New York LE region. This is a dynamic, field-based, direct sales role where your primary responsibility is to foster strong client relationships, ensuring both the retention of existing business and the expansion of our services through contract growth and the introduction of new Gartner products and solutions.
  • • You will act as a trusted advisor, consulting with C-level executives to understand their strategic objectives and challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing effective, enterprise-wide strategies that maximize the value our clients derive from Gartner’s comprehensive suite of research, advisory, and consulting services.
  • • A core component of this role involves meticulous account management, with a clear outcome of increased customer satisfaction, enhanced retention rates, and significant account growth. You will be empowered to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, deepening Gartner’s partnership with each client.
  • • You will be entrusted with a substantial quota responsibility, targeting $800,000+ in contract value within your assigned territory. This requires a strategic approach to sales, territory planning, and diligent execution.
  • • Mastery and consistent application of Gartner’s proven sales methodology will be essential for your success. This includes understanding and leveraging our unique value proposition, sales processes, and client engagement models.
  • • Proactive account planning and effective territory management are critical. You will need to develop a deep understanding of your clients' industries, business needs, and strategic priorities to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • • Accurate forecasting of sales performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis is a key expectation, demonstrating your ability to manage your pipeline and predict business outcomes.
  • • Maintaining a keen awareness of the competitive landscape and a sharp focus on Gartner's unique differentiators will be vital in positioning our offerings effectively against alternatives.
  • • Developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s extensive portfolio of products and services is paramount. You will need to articulate how our solutions address specific client needs and drive business outcomes.
  • • This role demands a high degree of intellect, drive, and executive presence. You will be expected to engage confidently and credibly with senior leaders, demonstrating strong sales acumen and a consultative approach.
  • • Proven experience in building and nurturing excellent client relationships at the C-level within large, complex enterprise organizations is a prerequisite for success.
  • • Strong computer proficiency, including CRM systems and presentation software, along with exceptional presentation skills, will be necessary to effectively communicate value and proposals.
  • • A comprehensive understanding of the full sales process lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification to closing and account management, is required.
  • • While a Bachelor's or Master's degree is desired, we value practical experience and demonstrated success in consultative sales environments above all else.
  • • You will be joining a globally recognized leader in IT research and advisory, contributing to the success of enterprise leaders who shape the world. Gartner's mission is to provide actionable, objective insights that help leaders succeed with their mission-critical priorities.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a vast, virtually untapped market potential, providing limitless opportunities for professional growth and personal flourishing, driven by your passion and performance.
  • • You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team environment, working with remarkable people who win together, united by a singular goal: delivering exceptional results for our clients.
  • • Gartner is committed to investing in great leaders who empower their teams, enabling multiplied impact and results, consistently recognized as a great place to work worldwide.
  • • Embrace a hybrid work environment that offers flexibility and support, balancing productive remote work with engaging in-person collaboration within a vibrant community.
