- • As an Account Executive, Public Sector at Zscaler, you will drive growth and adoption of the company’s Zero Trust Exchange platform within Germany’s public sector, directly contributing to national digital transformation and cybersecurity resilience by securing government agencies, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure against evolving threats.
- • You will own the full sales cycle for assigned public sector accounts, from initial outreach and discovery through negotiation, closing, and post-sale engagement, ensuring alignment between Zscaler’s cloud-native security solutions and the strategic objectives of German public sector clients.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and nurturing relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers in federal, state, and local government entities, conducting executive-level business reviews, and translating complex security challenges into tailored Zscaler solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- • You will develop and execute long-term account strategies grounded in deep customer insight, leveraging Zscaler’s AI-powered threat intelligence and global security data lake to anticipate needs and position the company as a trusted strategic advisor rather than just a vendor.
- • Collaboration is central to your role: you will work closely with solutions engineers, customer success, legal, finance, and marketing teams to design customized proposals, respond to RFPs, and ensure seamless delivery and adoption of Zscaler services across complex public sector environments.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of proven experience selling enterprise technology solutions specifically within the German public sector, including familiarity with government procurement cycles, budgeting processes, and key decision-makers at federal, state, and municipal levels.
- • Demonstrated success in net new logo acquisition and value-based selling, with a consistent track record of exceeding quota through strategic pipeline development and opportunity progression in complex, long sales cycles.
- • Fluency in German (both written and spoken) is required to effectively engage with public sector stakeholders, navigate official documentation, and conduct meetings and presentations in the local language.
- • Strong passion for pipeline generation and disciplined opportunity management, including the ability to forecast accurately, plan territory coverage, and execute structured sales processes with precision.
- • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams (e.g., solutions engineering, legal, customer success) and external partners to deliver cohesive, customer-centric solutions.
- • A field-oriented mindset with a willingness and ability to travel regularly for in-person customer engagements, workshops, and events across Germany to build trust and deepen relationships.
