- • **Your Impact as an Account Executive:** As an Account Executive for Public Sector in Western Canada, you will be instrumental in empowering small to mid-sized public safety agencies across the region. Your primary focus will be to facilitate the adoption of Axon's transformative technology solutions, which are designed to save lives, mitigate public safety risks, and enhance transparency. You will be a key advocate for Axon's integrated ecosystem, which includes advanced body-worn and in-car cameras, TASER devices, and sophisticated cloud-based software platforms, such as our industry-leading digital evidence management system. Your success will be measured by your ability to forge and nurture strong relationships with senior leadership within these agencies, expertly manage and drive large, complex sales opportunities, and precisely align Axon’s innovative solutions with the mission-critical requirements of our public safety partners. This is a quota-carrying, external field sales position that demands a proactive and strategic approach.
- • **Develop and Execute Strategic Account Plans:** You will be responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive account strategies tailored to the unique needs of small and mid-sized public safety agencies. This involves deeply understanding their operational challenges and strategic objectives, and then demonstrating how Axon’s solutions can drive officer safety, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate digital transformation. Close collaboration with internal Axon account teams will be essential to ensure a unified and effective approach.
- • **Lead Complex Sales Engagements:** Navigate and manage extended sales cycles that culminate in high-value, multi-year agreements. This will involve conducting insightful discovery meetings to uncover customer pain points, delivering compelling presentations of Axon’s value propositions, and skillfully leading customer negotiations to successful outcomes.
- • **Drive Market Share Growth and Strategic Objectives:** Play a pivotal role in increasing Axon's market share within Western Canada. You will achieve this by maximizing revenue generation and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction within your designated territory, directly contributing to Axon’s overarching strategic goals.
- • **Champion Public Safety Innovation:** Partner effectively with Axon's internal product, engineering, and sales engineering teams to showcase our latest public safety technologies. This includes presenting innovative solutions like TASER 10, Axon Fleet, Axon Body 4, Axon Evidence, and Axon VR training programs, clearly articulating how these technologies can revolutionize agency operations and enhance public safety outcomes.
- • **Cultivate and Manage Key Customer Relationships:** Build and maintain robust relationships with both executive leadership and operational stakeholders within public safety agencies. Your proactive engagement and adept problem-solving skills will be crucial in ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience throughout their journey with Axon.
- • **Champion Public Safety Outcomes:** Position Axon as an indispensable partner in advancing public safety initiatives. You will help agencies achieve their critical operational and safety goals while simultaneously bolstering transparency and accountability within their communities.
- • **Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with Axon’s customer success, engineering, and program management teams to guarantee the timely and successful delivery of customer projects. Your efforts will ensure that clients derive tangible and measurable value from Axon’s comprehensive suite of solutions.
- • **Maintain Accurate CRM Records:** Diligently manage and update customer interactions, sales opportunities, and pipeline forecasts within Salesforce. This data-driven approach will inform proactive sales strategies and provide essential visibility to internal stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- • **Key Performance Indicators:** Your performance will be evaluated based on achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets, leading market penetration and expansion of Axon’s solutions across Canadian public safety agencies, developing and closing high-value opportunities, establishing and maintaining high-trust executive relationships, leading cross-functional teams to ensure customer success, expertly managing contract negotiations, gathering actionable product feedback, achieving high customer retention and expansion rates, and maintaining a high degree of forecasting accuracy.
- • **What You’ll Bring:** We are seeking individuals with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in complex, consultative sales environments, ideally within public safety, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions. A deep understanding of municipal procurement processes and public safety technology is essential. You should possess a solution-oriented mindset, the technical acumen to understand cloud computing and SaaS, and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams. Experience working with law enforcement or public safety agencies is a significant advantage, as is a willingness to travel up to 50% across Western Canada.
