- • As an SMB Account Executive at 1Password, you will drive revenue growth by hunting new business and expanding existing accounts within your assigned territory, focusing on companies with up to 1,000 employees. Your role is critical to accelerating 1Password’s market penetration in the SMB segment, directly contributing to the company’s mission of delivering secure, seamless identity and access management solutions that empower businesses to adopt SaaS and AI tools safely.
- • You will own and manage your sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, cold calling, email outreach, and networking, consistently maintaining high outbound activity to generate and qualify leads. This includes conducting discovery calls, delivering tailored product demonstrations, and articulating the value of 1Password’s Extended Access Management (EAM) and enterprise password manager solutions to align with customer pain points and business objectives.
- • You will collaborate closely with SDRs, Solutions Engineers, Onboarding specialists, and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure seamless handoffs, optimize client engagement, and identify expansion opportunities through multi-threaded relationship building across stakeholder levels, including IT, security, and C-suite decision-makers.
- • You will execute strategic account planning and territory management, leveraging value-based selling methodologies to forecast accurately, pace toward quota, and prioritize high-potential accounts. This involves developing mutual action plans, negotiating contracts, and upselling EAM to existing Enterprise Password Manager customers to increase lifetime value and deepen penetration.
- • You will present confidently to C-suite executives, translating complex cybersecurity concepts—particularly in Identity and Access Management—into clear business value propositions, using strong negotiation and presentation skills to drive mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term partnerships.
- • You will operate with meticulous rigor in pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and CRM management (preferably Salesforce), ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to sales processes while maintaining self-motivation and independence in a hybrid work environment that expects approximately 3 days per week in the Austin office.
- • You will grow professionally by mastering advanced SaaS sales techniques in a high-growth cybersecurity leader, gaining deep expertise in Extended Access Management—a pioneering category in identity security—and developing the acumen to sell complex, innovative solutions to sophisticated buyers in a fast-evolving threat landscape.
- • You will achieve personal and career milestones by consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas and KPIs, earning recognition through incentive programs, and positioning yourself for advancement within 1Password’s high-performing SMB sales team, all while contributing to a culture that values honesty, simplicity, and putting people first.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of SaaS sales experience, with preference for background in cybersecurity or identity and access management solutions
- • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and KPIs in a quota-carrying role
- • Experience in upselling and cross-selling to both new and existing customers, particularly within a book of business
- • Proficiency in strategic account planning, territory management, and value-based selling methodologies
- • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills to engage C-suite and technical stakeholders effectively
- • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- • Familiarity with sales tools including Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar platforms
