- • Serve as the primary commercial interface between Sensata Technologies and key automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers in Germany, managing relationships across engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
- • Own full commercial responsibility for assigned accounts, including driving sales growth, achieving profitability targets, and expanding share-of-wallet through strategic account planning.
- • Lead the end-to-end automotive business lifecycle: participate in RFQs, provide commercial input during nomination, manage SOP ramp-up, oversee series production, and execute EOP phase-out activities.
- • Develop and execute short- and long-range sales plans aligned with marketing programs to meet or exceed defined sales and margin targets set by the Sales Manager.
- • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships, understand evolving needs, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and supplier performance ratings.
- • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams—including Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality—to ensure timely execution, alignment with customer requirements, and delivery of value-based solutions.
- • Lead complex commercial negotiations in technical environments, addressing pricing, change management, recovery actions, and contract terms within the context of long-cycle automotive sales dynamics.
- • Apply deep understanding of automotive market dynamics including platform business models, volume commitments, price erosion, indexation, and margin management to drive sustainable profitability.
- • Build and maintain strategic account plans focused on long-term growth, customer retention, and competitive positioning in a fast-evolving automotive market.
- • Demonstrate fluency in German automotive customer culture, expectations, and business practices to effectively communicate, negotiate, and build trust with senior stakeholders.
- • Travel regularly across Germany to engage with customers, support program execution, and attend critical meetings with key accounts.
- • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced, global organization, managing multiple competing priorities while maintaining high standards of performance and customer service.
- • Leverage coaching, training, and on-the-job learning opportunities to continuously develop commercial and technical expertise in the automotive sector.
- • Contribute to a global, cross-functional team environment that values mutual respect, open communication, and collaborative innovation under the OneSensata culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • University degree (Bachelor’s) or equivalent relevant work experience
- • Native German language proficiency
- • Proven experience with OEM and/or Tier-1 automotive customers in Germany, engaging at senior levels (Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Program Management)
- • Ownership of the full automotive business lifecycle: RFQ participation, commercial input to nomination, SOP ramp-up, series production, EOP phase-out
- • Understanding of long-cycle automotive sales: platform business, volume commitments, price erosion, indexation, margin management
- • Ability to lead cross-functional internal alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality
