  • • Drive revenue growth within an assigned territory in South Texas (San Antonio, Corpus Christi, McAllen) by managing and expanding relationships with Clinical Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine customers.
  • • Achieve instrument sales targets and increase assay and reagent utilization across QuidelOrtho’s product lines through consultative, value-driven sales approaches.
  • • Proactively identify and close competitive opportunities by articulating QuidelOrtho’s value propositions and expanding customer menu offerings.
  • • Maximize customer retention by ensuring satisfaction, executing structured call plans, resolving issues promptly, and defending against competitive threats.
  • • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to prioritize, retain, and expand key Clinical Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine accounts.
  • • Partner with Strategic Account Executives, automation specialists, and cross-functional teams to align on IDN strategies and drive instrument and assay retention.
  • • Manage the full sales cycle from lead acquisition to contract signing using CRM systems, providing accurate sales forecasts, activity updates, and pipeline reporting.
  • • Represent QuidelOrtho at industry trade shows and professional meetings to enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
  • • Maintain a minimum number of weekly customer touchpoints as defined by company standards.
  • • Collaborate with Field Service teams to ensure positive customer experiences and timely resolution of technical or operational concerns.
  • • Serve as the primary customer liaison for project implementations, coordinating with Project Management and Technical Specialists to ensure successful deployments.
  • • Work with Distribution Partners to support customer purchases through channel channels and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • • Partner with Marketing and Commercial Enablement teams to execute marketing initiatives and leverage data analytics for performance tracking and strategy refinement.
  • • Interact with Sales Leadership, Specialty Sales, Strategic Markets, and Distribution teams to align on corporate goals and optimize territory performance.
  • • Operate autonomously from a home office with strong self-discipline, organizational skills, and motivation to meet performance objectives.
  • • Travel up to 70% domestically, including overnight stays, to visit customer sites, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
  • • Maintain a valid driver’s license and own a reliable automobile suitable for frequent travel to customer locations, airports, and other business destinations.
  • • Spend approximately 80% of work time meeting with customers and 20% on computer-based tasks, paperwork, and phone communications.
  • • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds as needed during customer visits.
  • • Possess and apply strong visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • • Handle confidential customer and company information with the highest degree of ethics and professionalism.
  • • Adhere to all company values and maintain compliance with customer credentialing requirements, including up-to-date immunizations.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree
  • • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of B2B sales and/or capital equipment
  • • Sales and/or technical experience in the medical device, life science, or diagnostic market
  • • Ability to travel up to 70% domestically
  • • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • • Valid driver’s license and ownership of a reliable automobile
