Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire financial reporting cycle—prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual statements that are audit-ready and regulator-compliant, ensuring every figure is traceable, explainable, and strategically useful to leadership.
- • Become the go-to analyst for complex financial data: build dynamic models that translate raw ledger entries into clear narratives about revenue drivers, cost trends, and capital efficiency, enabling Product, Treasury, and Tech teams to make data-backed decisions in real time.
- • Serve as Pave Bank’s regulatory champion—compile and submit statutory filings, ad-hoc returns, and prudential reports to the National Bank of Georgia and other oversight bodies, always ahead of deadline and with zero material adjustments from regulators.
- • Lead and coordinate external audits (annual and interim) from planning through issuance: prepare PBC schedules, liaise with auditors, close findings swiftly, and institutionalize lessons learned so each cycle runs smoother than the last.
- • Design and maintain a bullet-proof reconciliation framework for multi-currency accounts, digital-asset positions, and payment-processor settlements, eliminating unreconciled differences and providing same-day visibility into cash and liquidity positions.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering to automate repetitive accounting tasks—think macros, Power Query, and API-driven data flows—freeing your time for higher-value analysis while reducing human error to near zero.
- • Guard the integrity of our chart of accounts and accounting policies, ensuring every new product feature, partnership, or regulatory change is reflected accurately and consistently across the general ledger.
- • Monitor and interpret evolving IFRS standards (especially IFRS 9 on financial instruments), translating technical updates into practical policies that keep Pave Bank at the forefront of compliant fintech innovation.
- • Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles: build bottom-up models, stress-test scenarios, and present clear variance analyses that allow leadership to re-allocate capital quickly in a fast-moving market.
- • Champion a culture of transparency and continuous improvement—mentor junior finance staff, document every process, and create dashboards that give non-finance stakeholders self-service access to the metrics they care about most.
- • Manage treasury operations including cash-flow planning, banking relationships, and short-term investment strategies, ensuring optimal liquidity while maximizing yield within risk appetite.
- • Contribute to strategic fundraising and investor relations by preparing financial data rooms, crafting management presentations, and supporting due-diligence queries with speed and precision.
- • Stay plugged into the fintech ecosystem—benchmark our metrics against industry peers, attend webinars, and bring back actionable insights that sharpen our competitive edge.
