📋 Description

• • Own and drive the complete month-end close for LearnUpon’s five global entities, ensuring every journal entry, consolidation adjustment, and elimination is posted accurately and on time. You will orchestrate a close that currently spans Dublin, Belgrade, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and Sydney, turning a multi-currency, multi-GAAP process into a repeatable, audit-ready machine that closes within five business days.
• • Serve as the primary power-user and guardian of NetSuite OneWorld. You will configure new subsidiaries, maintain the chart of accounts, build automated consolidation rules, and create saved searches and dashboards that give Finance and non-Finance leaders real-time visibility into KPIs such as ARR, NRR, CAC, and burn.
• • Produce a monthly management pack that tells the story behind the numbers. Beyond standard P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements, you will layer on flux analyses, waterfall charts, and SaaS-specific metrics that explain variance drivers to budget and forecast. Your commentary will be crisp, actionable, and tailored to audiences ranging from the CFO to department heads.
• • Own balance-sheet integrity. Every month you will reconcile 100+ accounts across cash, deferred revenue, accrued commissions, inter-company, and fixed assets, ensuring sub-ledgers tie to the GL and any unexplained items are resolved before the books are finalized.
• • Act as the audit quarterback for the annual group audit (Big 4) and local statutory audits in Ireland, USA, Serbia, and Australia. You will prepare PBC lists, draft technical memos on revenue recognition and share-based payments, and walk auditors through complex areas such as ASC 606 contract modifications and multi-element arrangements.
• • Manage all Irish tax compliance: bi-monthly VAT, quarterly VIES, annual RCT, and corporation tax returns. You will also coordinate with external advisors in the US, Serbia, and Australia to ensure each subsidiary meets its local obligations on time and with zero surprises.
• • Partner with FP&A and department owners to build a rolling 18-month forecast model that feeds cash-flow planning, scenario analysis, and board-level discussions. Your insights will directly influence hiring plans, marketing spend, and product investment decisions.
• • Continuously improve. Whether it’s automating inter-company eliminations, implementing a new SaaS metric dashboard, or redesigning the expense allocation methodology, you will challenge the status quo and deliver measurable efficiencies.
• • Mentor junior accountants and accounts-payable specialists, creating playbooks and cross-training plans that scale with our headcount growth.
• • Champion a culture of compliance and ethical behavior, ensuring SOX-level controls are documented, tested, and enhanced as the business evolves.
